    Interesting detective work.

Tap's website says they are located in Brea, which would mean the Corona location doesn't exist. This is probably a duplicate entry for not only Pappy and Trace Remy, but also the brewery itself. The beers should probably be merged and the Corona location deleted I would think.

Report a duplicate entry and hopefully the admin will get around to checking it out.

Taps has three locations in CA.

But it is probably the same beer served at different places. (The local Iron Hill chain has a core line up that is all the same at each of its locations. Then the brewer at each site is also free to brew others as well so there is some variability from location to location)

But as pointed out above it is a the same beer listed twice because of the different locations. It's happened in other cases as well.

Same beer, same brewpub with multiple locations.

Interesting. So if a brewer brews a beer at another location, it gets a separate entry? Seems odd. Breweries sometimes move or expand operations without getting duplicate entries here.

    Well, it depends....

Near as I can figure it, what happens seems to be that two people have what is basically the same beer at two different locations (maybe both brewed in one place, maybe each one brewed at the local location with the same ingredients and receipe) and then each files a request to create a new entry because they can't find it in the database.

The mods don't seem to have the local knowledge or the time to do a check on every single beer to merge things as needed and so it is left up to us to notice the problem and report it. Even then you may find a compounding problem like the Iron Hill example I mentioned. Their core line up is brewed at each of about 6-7 locations but is basically the same beer. But at each location there is a different head brewer who is also given the freedom to add to that line up so there are beers brewed at one location that you can't get at one of the others. Again, there seems to be no way for the mods to easily sort this out given the current database organization. (It isn't confusing for the Iron Hill folks as they currently seem to have a monthly meeting of keep people to coordinate menus, policies, etc.)

Compounding the problem is the same name for different places that have no other connection. Go to place search menu and put in "sly fox." Two of those have the same owners and different locations. There is one head brewer for both places and some brewing of the same beers does or has taken place at each of those locations. Creates a bit of a listing problem.
