Rare Beer Meet up NYC

Come on guys, anyone else interested? Giving this one a bump.

 

Interested and sent dtmets a BM last week. Looking forward to this, whenever it happens.

 

I would be interested, I'm sure others are as well. Lets try to set a date and place.

like i mentioned in my BM, i live on LI, but would come out to the city if the timing worked for me. definitely have stuff to offer.

 

I may be up for this... need to know where/when before I can say I'm def in.

 

could meet at a BYOB joint. one that's not too crowded and noisy and low-key, so it provides optimal beer enjoyment with fellow beer drinkers.

 

Depending on the date/time I may be up for it as well.

 

would probably kill the whole "NYC" part of this Meet up, but i've been known to host a tasting or two in my past. i've got a great group of LI BA's that i like to hang with and open bottles, so if i were to host, i'd be sure to include them...which would make this a bona fide BA calendar event. maybe i can pull something like this off over the summer and do some BBQ'ing? but i digress...if you want to keep it NYC centered (as it seems), my place won't help. i'm a LIRR and a $7 cab ride away from Penn station.

 

I'd be down, what are the requirements? Like how much to bring? How rare? etc Kinda of new to beer tasting groups. But in regards to location, just find a low-key establishment thats BYOB, thats not in Manhatten area, cause that will be, one expensive, and over populated/loud. Go somewhere like some hidden chinese restaurant thats BYOB and combine a bunch of tables and have a good time. Or even a couple spots in little italy are overshadowed by the bigger named restaurants in the area, that we can occupy for this tasting.

 

Well I am also from long island but would enjoy this as well. The whole finding a place would be the hardest part really. Comicevan, I would be definately willing to go to where you are on long island, and contribute to the BBQ as well.

Any time on the weekend would be great.

 

i'll talk to my wife, maybe i can pull something like this off for my birthday in september or some point over the summer?
