Raf's an awesome dude who is pretty active on Milk the Funk. Happy that he's getting some good press.

Hope to one day try some of these beers.

This was an excellently written and researched piece. A bunch of articles of this quality and interest bundled with reviews, recipes, op-eds, brewing history and homebrew pieces and I would be in to renew my subscription to a quarterly mag for sure. What would sell me is content that I can't find on a zillion other sites, blogs and message boards - like the article here.

That Macvin barrel geuze is such a tease. I want it, but I'll never see it! Nice to see some newer blenders and producers like Tilquin and de Cam really put a new spirit into traditional production.

What does everybody think the best American replication of Oude Geuze is? I'll throw in a vote for Allagash Coolship Resurgam.

    This was a great read.

I'm excited to see that there seems to be more interest in and appreciation for blending, spontaneous fermentation and wild ales in general cropping up.

After the very poor behavior they displayed at the Copenhagen beer festival I'm all set. Plenty of places that deserve my money .

FYI the event Raf brought his beers to is called Brews for New Avenues, http://brewsfornewavenues.org. It will take place for the 7th year on August 25th and Raf will possibly visit once again.

    Cheers

Yes, I would like to know more about what you are referring to @Sweatshirt, I met them at CBC and I thought they were very nice and made amazing beers.

Nice! But my chance of getting a taste are almost non. But I can get Lambic here. Big Lambic. Not small Lambic that would likely be awesome. Great story! I would like to visit one day. I miss Germany really bad.. The Bier. The People. The Cleanliness of the place.

Belgium would be just as nice. I believe.

Pouring themselves beers while the line waited while not bringing close to enough in the first place, crushing Coors long necks while making fun of people paying the prices they were for the bottles they shouldn't have been selling, general asshattery and bad attitudes because of the hype they had gained.

Sure this was Raf and not just some people that he or the festival had working the booth? Not making excuses for them, just curious, is all.
