"Hey, we have this really unhealthy product. Let's tell people it contains compounds that may have the ability to cure cancer..." That trope never gets old.

Did you even read the article? "The two plants also share antibacterial properties, as well as anti-cancer agents that may be beneficial for suffering patients."

Keyword being "may," as supported by the link to the medical journal that you quoted.

I did read the article. The part you quoted is comparing cannabis and hops. Which product are you saying is unhealthy? I don’t know of any studies on the health effects nonalcoholic cannabis infused beer.

Everything potentially holds the cure to cancer which is why this is a trope. Anytime a species is found or threatened it becomes a "they could potentially hold the cure for cancer." Girl Scout Cookies could potentially cure cancer- has anyone ever done a study to prove otherwise? The bacteria on the gum I stepped in could potentially hold the cure for cancer. It just seems like these happen happen a lot more as a side claims for questionable new products. "A new shoe polish made from ground up naked mole rats could potentially hold the cure to cancer based on the naked mole rat's resistance to cancer therefore our shoe polish would logically prevent cancer!" Why does this cannabis beer need to throw in a health claim on cancer prevention? Because it is a questionable product on health to begin with.

Terpene beers were all the rage at the last EBF. It was like "cool, this smells like weed. And tastes awful. Good one guys".

Cannabis infused Real Ale is sublime.
The terpene profiles are so similar with hops and herb, they compliment one another. THC & CBD are alcohol and fat soluble, so unless you use a tincture in your brew, it's just there for flavor. Good way to use up scraps if you live in a state that permits.
I can't wait for the cannabis beer wars once weed is federally taken off the scheduled drug list and breweries can add it to their brews.
    Raspberry Wheed is very tasty.
Some Homebrew kits come with crystalized CBD that turns any home brewed beer into a medicated beverage.
I wouldn't enjoy a beverage made solely from the marijuana plant.
    It's like Hop Water.....yuck, why?
I'm curious to see where this all goes in the next decade.

Why do you say it's a "questionable product on health"? Would love to hear an explanation for that, given marijuana has been proven to have medical benefits

Read the article that was cited in your original post. There is a link to a peer reviewed article from a cancer specific medical journal. There are hundreds of pages explaining the “proven benefits” of cannabis in cancer patients citing dozens of medical studies.
