I recently noticed that a lot of my favorite glass are producing a lot more carbonation than they should, almost like they are etched glasses but they are not. My guess is that this happened by using a sponge that should have been thrown away by then and wasn't fully clean and scratched the glasses.

Is there any home remedy for this? Maybe some of you know some glass tricks to make smooth again. Like I said, it's a few of my favorite glasses and they I can't just buy replacements of. It's a long shot but though I would ask.

Just use another glass. I only rinse when done, rinse and dry when I pour a new beer, no soap needed. Or wanted.

Yes, I'd imagine it's dirt rather than scratches. I also keep my glasses "beer clean" by not using soap. Every week or so I'll add a fair amount of salt to warm~hot water and swirl it around for a bit, even letting it sit for a time. If that doesn't clean it you may have to get in there, but I'm guessing it's more soap than scratches due to a sponge. If it's really bad use some distilled white vinegar before you do the salt treatment.
