Fly in. Kill an hour n half at Baldini’s Casino waiting for Revision to open. First ones through the door. 1st pour > Legion of Boom > Abyss Bliss > Baggage Wagon. All full pours. Grabbed a case of mix 4pk (BagW, CitraS, AbyssB to go + 6pk DIPA. A small issue trying to get Uber. A bit late checking in my cooler. But they took. Last on the plane. But got seat. Plenty left. Issue with the planes toilet. It was inop. Held it till we got to lax. Barely. Lol. All survived the fly in & fly out trip. Barcelona is next.

Initially thought you said was ihop that caused the issue with the plane's toilet and thought 'makes sense'. Lol

    Had this last night:

This is my 2nd experience with Revision. I gotta be honest... I did not enjoy Planetary Fog. Turned me off of trying any of their other beers.

But this one I've been wanting to try and I saw it at the local store. I am not particular a fan of weed, but I love the weed-like flavors in beers - my favorite being Lagunitas' SuperCritical (which actually has cannabis extract).

I wish I could have tried this fresh on 4/20. But even with a month+ of age, I was pleasantly surprised by this. Initial taste is pretty standard WCIPA stuff. A little floral, restrained-but-there malt. But then when you get to the mid-palate & finish, the green vegetal flavors come alive. If anything, this gave me a tea vibe more than any other beer I've had. And I kinda liked it. Will definitely be seeking this next 4/20.

Had a can of Leafy yesterday as well. Getting a bit on the old side, but still very good. Was Planetary Fog your 1 and only Revision hazy experience? Which I thought is solid. But they have so many other hazy cans that’s better. And most of their west coast offerings are very good too.

Yes, PF was the only beer I'd had from them. But here's the thing.

A number of people said that Planetery Fog was their favorite Revision beer (from my conversations with random people), so if that's the pinnacle of their haze, I just stayed away from their beers.

So maybe I'll try another hazy. I'll definitely try another WC from them though.

Well I thought it was good too, but their other cans are better. And if you a chance try Citra Slam (West coast). Their regular ipa and DIPA are both on target as well as their Revenge Series for west coast. Right now Baggage Wagon (NE style) is tasting very good. Abyss’s Bliss is another great west coast. All good. I think these guys are more consistent than Fieldworks and ASB and Cellermaker. But that’s my opinion.

Picked up a 6 pack (12oz) of the standard Revision IPA last night. One of my go to (West Coast) shelfies for everyday drinking right now. In most supermarkets around here now.[IMG]

The cans down here are dated 4-20. I grabbed athe DIPA cans from Revision 2 weeks ago when I was there. Dated 5-1.

Do you find that their beers fall off noticeably in a month or so? I haven't paid close attention to the dates on the sixers I've bought because we get them so rarely and they move so fast I have just assumed some degree of freshness

I don't think their WCIPAs fall off any in a month or two, and I drink a lot of their regular IPA & DIPA. Even before in the bottles when they were harder to find, I'd drink 4-5 month old ones that still taste great.

I wouldn't say the same for theirs or anyone's hazy/NEIPAs though.

Disco Ninja was excellent, Battle of the Lords and Gimme da Loot were solid too. I feel Revision does a great job of throwing in a west coast taste in their NE ipas. I try to pick them up when i see them.

Agree on Gimme da Loot, but I didn't enjoy battle of the the lords that much.

There was only 1 4 pack left of Sparkle Muffin left and I was curious why. I never had it before. But after tasting it, realized I was missing out. It was/is delicious. Like it as much as I enjoyed Revisions' Distance Haze; which so far is my favorite from them.

After having a not-so-great review of Planetary Fog, I haven't really sought out Revision's brews...came across and tried Baggage Wagon and Elevation Calculation and was impressed by both! Both were very crushable and enjoyable...soft on the palate hazies at 8+% ABV...Hopefully, I can find more that are like this from them. I had Pour Decisions and Leafy Greens and while decent enough and enjoyable, I wasn't overly impressed by them...

Not Sac, but I bought a bottle in Modesto last Thursday. Our Revision schedule is usually more spotty compared to Sac stores, so it's strange you're not seeing any up there. Saw some bottles in Napa this weekend as well.

I had the BA Finite Madness a few months ago, believe it was 24.99.

I really enjoyed it, it was big, bold, roasty and viscous.
Had a dark chocolate/molasses balance going on.

I'd say pick one up if you see it!

I got my hands on the 2018 BBA Finite Madness at a random bottle shop near Tahoe. It was really really good, exactly what I want out of an imperial Stout with no additions. Definitely going to try to get my hands on more if I can find it in the City. Hopefully the separation Stout will turn up in the City at well.

No food. Sometimes a food truck is there. Across the street there is a decent mex place. But I think they are open for breakfast and lunch only. Otherwise the casino a block away.
