    Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a few good pit stops on my way from Columbus to Eau Claire. Bottle shops, breweries, etc. Any information would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance!

I enjoy the Coffee Grounds liquor store whenever I go to Eau Claire. They recently moved locations, but it is still located near the highway.

I'll definitely swing by Coffee Grounds. What's the availability on New Glarus, Toppling Goliath, and other awesome breweries I may be leaving out?

New Glarus is literally everywhere. You can't step into a bar or grocery story without tripping over it, so it should be no problem to grab any of their current offerings.

They had a growler station there with Sue on tap but I'm not sure if/when they get TG bottles

What way are you going through Wisconsin to get to Eau Claire?

Very nice! I'll make sure to bring a few growlers if they don't have bottles available

^ This is my normal route, which usually involves a pit stop at FFF in Munster. If you have any other ideas I would love to hear them!

You have to stop at Liquor Central in Wisconsin Dells. I found Zombie dust there before! Also if you detour to La Crosse, Wi. I would definitely trade you up on stuff. Also there is a liquor store across the river from La Crosse. You would be able to get your hands on Minnesota stuff.

When 30 hits 469 near Fort Wayne you will be less than a mile from The Trion in New Haven, http://www.triontavern.com/index.php Lots of great beers on tap, heavy on the Indiana beers right now including FFF.

If you take the Indiana tollway or 80 for that matter, you'll be only a few minutes away from http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/31042/. Great new brewery. Honestly his stuff is right up there with the best.

If you haven't made the trip yet, don't pass up Showboat Saloon in the Dells. Growler fills of everything on tap, usually including TG, FFF and other pretty rare midwestern stuff.

Nobody has mentioned this place, and it deserves to be said if you are going to be spend any real time in Eau Claire. Check out The Firehouse. 40 taps (all craft) with lots of one offs you won't see anywhere else. Last month I had Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Stout on cask with cherries and something else added in. I would also give a mention to Lazy Monk in EC as well. They make some great lagers that are always enjoyable this time of year.

I second the Firehouse, the best taplist in EC. Lazy Monk is well worth a stop- great Czech-style lagers with awesome hospitality. Pick up some cans of the Dark Lager- you won't be sorry.
