I cannot find any other verification than these two pictures but shut up and take my money!
I’ll have a case, please
It's sad to see them deviate from the old gravity number naming convention.
I thought about that, but maybe its gravity is the same as (or close to) that of 6 or 8, thus precluding them from using a number.
But seriously, I can't wait to try this
I wonder if this is something that will even make it stateside?
The abv is 7.5 so the same as the 6
I can't seem to avoid it... but if that's all it takes to ruin the party for you it's on you.
Just cause someone pooped on the party doesn't mean its ruined...
TMI buddy, TMI.
I don't know how they get down in Kiribati, but in the US of A, in 2020, we don't let a little party poop get in the way of a good time
In 2020, a party poop may make the party- as long as you stay 6 feet from it. That aside, it's weird to me to see the old classics come out with a 'new' anything.
At least it isn't a hazy IPA or smoothie sour. Nothing wrong with adding another recipe to the mix
Hook it to my veins!
News of this just days after I’ve officially tried all of their beers, I’ll have to do some more searching to re-complete the collection
If this Triple is anywhere near as good as the rest of their lineup it's going to put me in the poorhouse.
Hopefully I can fill my Rochefort chalice with this one sometime soon. Just finished a four pack of Fin du Monde and am jonesing for something from the Continent.
It's been a while since I had a new tripel from Europe too, or in general. I've have 135 different tripels according to BA, I have beef those numbers up!
Well, I guess it's not surprising that when a legendary brewery does something new, somebody is gonna sh*t on it.
If there's one thing I learned from watching Caddyshack...
Better that than the poophouse, unless there's a party going on in there, I guess.
Had a Rochefort 6 in my basket the other day but pulled it out to make room for a couple of Germans. Definitely excited to get my lips around this one, though.
Don't see this being an issue. However, if Monks doesn't have success in their current pursuit, than unlikely for the rest of the country
If Monk's can't get it, they yea, we're screwed.
I need a way to more emphatically say "ISO!"
If we don't end up getting it over here in the states ... well let's just say I'm a little overdue on another trip to Belgium anyway.
But I'm pretty sure it will make it's way here eventually.
This just jumped to the top of my wants/ISO list.
Not seen it around here yet (Netherlands, neighboring Belgium).
As far as I understood from one or two Belgian sources it is a heavy blonde or "Blonde extra-forte". A modern remake of a hoppy beer that was produced about 100 years ago at Rochefort.
Limited production still, but it not intended as a one time only. So it will find its way to the States sooner or later.
So, it's not a Tripel then?
Oh MAN I need this in my life!
Depending on your vantage point.
My read is: "closer to Westmalle than other Tripels", so I couldn't be more stoked.
It wouldn't be any different than St. Bernardus right?
Abt 12, Tripel, Prior 8, Pater 6
Adding another common Belgian style is perfectly normal and ok with me. It would be like when Weihenstephan introduced their Pils.
Don't you mean pourhouse?
It must be a Tripel. But maybe not as we know it. Not sure until I get my hands on one.
All the pictures above seem to mention 7.5 abv, however the official pic cleary shows 8.1 abv.
This picture from UT seems to confirm the 8.1 abv
Lucky bastard, being in Belgium where all the good beer is
I will be raiding the stores as of tomorrow . Rochefort 10 is my only perfect five on BA, because,... well... it's a perfect beer.
a belgian news article talking about the new beer, for those of you who can spreken een beetje nederlands hehe
Since it is their hundred anniversary, they should have just indicated (100)
Honestly don't get triples enough, hopefully this rectifies that
I have a Trappistes Rochefort chalice that is waiting patiently for me to track this down. The beer manager at my liquor store has some feelers out, so hopefully soon. This would make a nice addition to my 12 Days of Christmas lineup.
