Just posting this because I didn't see any release information on this in the forum. Feel free to take this down if I'm wrong, however. Just picked this up a couple days ago at a world market and I read that it is a special release. Dedicated to Farmers and Fermenters. 750ml Bottle / 26° Plato / 17 IBU / 84 AA / 32° Lovibond" Source: http://www.rogue.com/roguebeers/ This is a very good beer. Having never drank a braggot before, this is a great first impression. It's fruity and tastes like berries and honey. Definitely recommend if you see this while out and about!!
Definitely do!! I'm drinking it now. I can't believe it's 11.42% abv. This literally doesn't taste a bit over 6% or so. Not in a bad way, either. It's just so smooth. Edit: it's probably because it only has 17ibu's
I hate how Rogue always rates their beers in Plato. That's nice for people who brew regularly, and know that scale, but I have no idea what that translates to ABV-wise, and I'd be willing to bet most drinkers don't either.
yeah, it's 11.42% abv just in case you were wondering. Definitely Damn strong but doesn't taste it. Lol
Went to the Rogue Brewery and stayed at their Bed and Beer brewpub 3 weeks ago. Tried almost every beer offered including their Big Ass Barrel series (or whatever the hell it was called). I now have less appreciation for Rogue beers than I did prior to visiting. This Marionberry Braggot tastes like a shitty alcohol burnt barleywine mixed with mad dog 20/20. Yes, it's that good.
One more thing, their stupid Dare, Risk and all of the other shit that is farm to table is a stupid gimmick. I don't give a shit if they use GMO 2-row and produce extra emissions with their brewery. Make good beer, don't over charge for shitty beer.
it wasn't bad. different. think dark fruit>honey>beer You would never guess the abv, like it wasn't even there...
