In my opinion, this is by far one of the worst beers I've ever had. I dont know if I had an "off" batch or what, but I know I wont be throwing my money away on it again- even at $12 a sixer..... sorry dude, but it looks to me like you've way over-paid.

Never seen it for that much, that's a complete ripoff. I probably wouldn't buy it for 8 bucks a six pack, though...

i think the beer is pretty good but rogue six packs in general are expensive. I'm the beer buyer at a liqour store in nj and our case cost is 40 bucks, so with the average retail markup of 30% it should be 12.99. you definitely overpaid and i guess the cost is on rogues side since the price seems to be high everywhere not just nj. also you dratically overpaid.

The obvious answer is because it's a Rogue beer.

I paid about 2.50 for a single and thought it was damn good. 12.99 for a six would be a fair price, certainly not 18 bucks.

Maybe it was aged on a rare, first-edition novel.

I like the bigger bomber style bottles just like with Mad Elf 6ers can get pretty expensive but a nice bomber does me just right price wise and drinking size wise !

    1) Rogue is fairly expensive in general and 2) Your store completely ripped you off

I actually really enjoy this beer and it is 8.99 in Spokane (Total Wine), for a 6 pack. Not bad, especially for Rogue

Rogue seems to have the biggest West to East coast price disparity I've ever heard of.
I always got confused when people call Rogue overpriced, 6 packs are $9 and bombers are $5 here on the best coast.

NW ohio singles were about $2.50. so that $18 seems way too high

Damn, I just spent $16.99 on it. Didn't realize until I looked at the receipt. It never cost this much before. What gives? It's just a red ale. A fine red ale, but still....

I am only typing this much, because I think I have a minimum character to hit.

That and Yellow Snow are $16.99 where I live. I'd love to give it a try but not at that price. I like Dead Guy but its $14 a sixer. Too many other good beers for $10 a sixer.

Damn straight! I see a bunch of Rogues 11.99 six packs gathering dust at the beverage store I frequent.

Rogue is a good beer, not a great beer, and receives more love than is warranted. Over priced IMO, I enjoy their brews, but rarely buy, as I get more bang for my beer buck elsewhere. $12.99 here, is too steep for nothing overwhelming.

$18.99 for 6 is the same as $5.75 for a 22oz bottle. Good to keep this in perspective, since most people don't flinch at a $6 bomber. (Though with people reporting lower prices for this beer in different regions, it does seem unfortunate.)

That's pretty steep! Here in OH it's about $12 for a 6-pack. I don't buy Rogue often though because it's fairly average stuff as far as craft beer goes.
