    Heads up! Feb 22 - Mar 3

Big event is the Capital Beerfest.

More new breweries, new taphouses, new restaurants. Sacramento is a boomtown.

A question: Do you think that having this so close to SF Beer Week is a disadvantage?

Hopefully going to make the Cap Beerfest, missed last year, but had a great time the 1st year.

I think having it close to SF's week could be a disadvantage, at least as far as pulling in more out of towners.

My friend and I just talked about the closeness of SFBW and SacBW earlier today... I thought it was too close and probably would pass on everything but the main event.

I've been wanting to hit the CapFest, so I hope I can make the time and get away again (after sfbw).

Moving SacBeerWeek to a different date is certainly going to be discussed after this year's festivities. We will need to have a public discussion among the local breweries, distributors, and pubs about the pros and cons.

Tickets on sale to Capital Beerfest.

Event of note: Rubicon's Firkin Festival is expecting 20 beers. Superfresh and many beers you won't see on cask outside the brewery.

I'll post other rare stuff as we get it. I know one place is having a sourfest with 100 beers.

Saw this on FB.Is this the same tiny place I'm thinking of ? I actually went over there one Saturday with the wife because I heard they had good pizza. It was too early (opens 4pm) but I looked in and saw a decent selection of taps. But where on earth will they put all of this ?!?

    BTW I've never tried sours.

Answer to OP: Yes, I think it's a disadvantage being right after SF. That makes it so a lot of us are going to have to choose one or the other. If they were a month apart I might be able to do both. My .02.

Not 100% sure but I think they may open up the parking lot for this. Hot City has a pretty great selection of bottles to go as well. Kind of a cool, secret good beer spot. Pizza's good too.

Being a CA native I have never had "real" pizza.Either kind and I heard they had a good thin crust version. So having a good beer selection makes it a win-win.Maybe a good chance to try both.

Hot City is taking the whole parking lot for both weekends. Bring lawn chairs. No kids.

Their pizza is CA style. Multi-grain, thicker crust, huge selection of toppings and crazy shit that would drive a pizza purist crazy. They have a sweet chili oil sauce that is crazy good.

Please do not follow me home.

I know there is the outside the brewery thread, but I figured this is the place for Sac people. Anyone know of any Younger in Sac? I'm assuming during beer week it'll be tapped, right?

The Graduate in Davis has it. Tapped tonight at 6PM. There was a small line at 6 and zero line right before I left.

Not even sure where to go today. So many places I would like to get to.Wanted to hit Track 7 last night.Sheesh.If I wait I'll probably miss it.

What's a good option if I can only hit maybe 2 or 3 stops between now and next weekend ?
