So Lake Louies Reserve Scotch Ale is my favorite Wee heavy by far.... I have 2 6 packs from last years release in the cellar. I gave one to my brother to try and he said it was sour, tart and awful, obviously I did not believe him as he is not as nerdy as me. Every bottle I had was fine, tonight I pulled out a bottle and it was just as he described..... awful! Then I grabbed another bottle and it was great as usual. I do not know much about infected beer but can two beers that were bottled one after another be that different? Thanks for your help!

It can happen if something is not properly sanitized as the bottle is being filled. Either some of the bottles they used were not cleaned as thoroughly as they should be or possibly the crown caps.
