    Hi Folks,

Hope this is OK to post here. I am heading to the Strong Ales Festival in Carlsbad Pizza Port this weekend. Went last year and it was amazing. Last year, in addition, I stumbled across a spectacular Breakfast Burrito place, but I have no idea what it was called or where it was. Can someone, anyone, everyone please recommend their favorite Breakfast Burrito place. We just dont get them up in NorCal and they were SOOOOOO good.

    thank you and cheers,

    Adam

Do you recall any details about the area around it? Walking distance from pizza port? On the 101? Within view of the beach?

Also not in Carlsbad, but my go-to for breakfast burritos is Karina's in Leucadia.

Senor Grubby's is right by pizza port, but I've never been a huge fan of their food. Mostly ended up there because it's close to the carlsbad village bars.

I stick to Alejandro's and al pastor from Senor Grubby's.

You pretty much described every taco shop in San Diego!
I'm not a fan of Alejandro's. I'd either venture to Senior Grubby's (great breakfast) or Cessy's on the 101, both a couple blocks from Port.
If you're up for a drive, cbanker mentioned Karina's up above. That place is legit!

If it was on the drive down, right off the freeway, really dirty, and not in Carlsbad at all, you may be thinking of Pedro's Tacos in San Clemente. If not, that is where you should go, best food I've had in a long time, I make sure to hit it up every time I go down that way.

Not in Carlsbad? Filiberto's, Juanita's, Jiliberto's. Most 'berto's are good.

If memory serves me right, it was somewhere between the SD Airport and the motel 6 located a block and a half from Pizza Port Carlsbad.

By the way, a GREAT thanks to all that are trying to help. Looking forward to this weekend... Still cannot comprehend why the Bay Area doesn't do breakfast burritos or tacos. I grew up in TX and we had them there too... SO DAMN GOOD!

It was probably Pipes in Cardiff, awesome breakfast burritos, or Potato Shack, great breakfast's all around.

I know it's not nearly as fun, but if you want something delicious and on the healthier side, check out The Naked Cafe. There's one in Carlsbad, Encinitas and Solana.

Wait a minute, there are no breakfast burritos in NorCal?! Can anyone else confirm/deny? (not that I don't trust op, but I was considering moving up to the bay area, and no breakfast burritos could be a dealbreaker)

Yes, no breakfast burrito's can be a deal breaker, but the Bay Area is pretty cool. Might be worth a shot, even without the great mexican food from So. Cal.

If you want to go really healthy, I highly recommend the Big John Breakfast at Tip Top Meats - all you can eat bacon.

Tell me you had the carnitas. Best in North County IMHO.
