I think it would be very helpful if you made one of these maps for reubens. I would be more then willing to collaborate with you and assist in any info you would need.

If you are in search of a good stout I'd hit up Societe. It's not barrel aged but the Butcher has one of the best aromas I've had off a stout and it's my favorite style. I don't think it's bottled or even growler filled so you won't be able to get it many other places.

You could get a growler fill of The Butcher during Societe's First Anniversary party

Go to Ballast Point and get some Victory at Sea. It's a Coffee Vanilla Porter and it's amazing. They may also have their Chipotle Porter on tap as well Sea Monster stout. You could also try some Indra Kunindra. And I'll second the Butcher.

I am not sure they will let you off the plane if you land in San Diego. If they do, since you are staying in North County just go to Pizza Port Carlsbad. If you have time to drive around hit Rip Current off the 78 on your obligatory trip to Stone World Garden's and Bistro. Don't spend your trip driving around the County looking for the 1 dark ale at each of the other 70 breweries. You can probably get a great sampling at Pizza Port.
