Bottle Shops: Best Damn Beer Shop, Beverages 4 Less, and Holiday Wine Cellar (a bit of a drive but worth it).

Hope you have a good trip, cheers!

You can look in Beverages 4 Less, just don't buy. Alpine Ichabod for $10.99 bottle limit 1 (B4L) vs $4.99 bottle limit 4 (ABC)...c'mon. That's crack prices. Drive the extra 20-25min to Alpine Beer Company. Hopefully they'ss have some Expo for ya.

I would hit up The Yardhouse if it's still around...haven't been to SanDog in a while. It's a great taphouse. I think there's like 250 beers on tap+bottles from what I remember.

If you're hitting BP and Green Flash, you might as well hit Alesmith and Hess in-between.

    Alpine is a must.

there are tons of threads about this. We are also missing some info, such as where you will be staying.

here is a good thread to read:

    http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/san-diego-for-your-consideration.25550/

and here is a map with a good number of places to hit up in SD.

    Otherwise my favorite places/suggestions are:

    Breweries:
Pizza Port, Lost Abbey, Societe, Alpine

    Bars:
O'Brien's, Hamilton's, Pizza Port OB, Toronado, Tiger Tiger, Blind Lady Ale House, the Neighborhood

    Stores:
Olive Tree Market (they have a tasting room Th-Sat 4-9pm, you can get 10% off your entire beer purchase when you buy a sample in the tasting room), and Best Damn Beer Shop (located downtown in Krisp Market)

I'd skip Stone. Alesmith is good for light tasting; keep in mind there's no place to sit and they serve their tasters in plastic cups. Alpine is a must. If you're willing to drive as far as Stone you may as well hit up Lost Abbey. Toronado is a great choice.

Question: Couple buddies and I also are planning on gastropubbing in North Park area and hope to hit up Toronado and Hamilton's at the least, but we don't want to drive. Is taking the cab to get between places the best route? Seems a bit too long to walk...
