Funny that Alpine's status is the only one that says "No."

This is the first I've seen that says Latitude 33 will fill blanks, source?

Also, whoever runs seekabrew should add a CA map with points at blank growler filling breweries.

The source is the third link in my post. I know nothing beyond what I read on that site. I guess I should have clarified that I have nothing to do with this, I was just passing on information I was reading earlier today.

Cool, I'm sure whoever runs that site frequents this board, so maybe they can let us know where they heard/saw it.

Does a growler like that change the level of carbonation in the beer it holds. Will a fairly flat stout for example come out with increased carb?

Is this just a Drink Tanks Growler with the label rubbed off?

Are you sure that Societe will fill it? I had asked them about it a few weeks ago and they said they wouldn't even if I removed the label.

Yes. Same thing. And I'm pretty sure Societe won't fill them. They are really picky about what they fill. They said swing tops, but they refused my friend's because his had the wrong color rubber seal. They said it wasn't as good a seal. lol

If you are in SD you don't need to pay the shipping in the OP link. Go here:

    or
Go to Krisp aka Best Damn Beer Shop.

Those playing cards at perfectgrowler are awesome too. They are popping up all around town.

I would read the fine print on the filling list. Some are from the breweries saying they do blank growler fills and some from 3rd party info . It would be great if all those places Definitely filled this growler, but some have limitations on type and size...just do your research before you drop 70-100 on something you may not actually be able to use.

i love when people are like "does this bar allow kids!?!?!!" and plan their whole vacation around what people on the internet tell them and then probably show up and are very sad. internetz, yay!

also, yay internetz for making growlers such a hot topic, too. i spend way too much time answering emails and questions from people face to face about them because its not a simple answer.

It's actually very simple. It only gets complicated when places try to justify their weird policies to suit their needs. I don't care if a place decides not to fill blanks/covered, but it is pretty annoying when I get BS'd about why they fill some blanks/covered grolwers and not others. That's when a simple yes or no answer turns into a long annoying phone call, conversation, or email to all parties involved.

I just wiped clean a 64oz, screw top growler. I'm now thinking to use chalk paint on it, for easy labeling on a portion of it. Does anyone see any issues with me getting fills at places that will blank/label covered growlers? Not sure if I should move forward with the idea or not. Thanks.

You suggest people call to find out more information about breweries' policies, yet you're annoyed when they do this to you? Am I missing something?

im more than happy to answer the questions (literally, my job!), and hopefully help someone understand that its not the breweries usually trying to be a jerk, there are some bureaucratic things going on as well. i didnt do a job of conveying is that i wish it was just a simple answer but instead its something that requires a lot of blabbering which usually is futile since people never want to hear my explanation about growlers and laws. they just wanna fill what they want where they want! understandable
