    Evening All,

Yes I understand that ISO's can be put up and yes I know it's a fair trade if both sides are happy and so on and so forth.

As far as bottle counts and desirability, how would a potential trade between these beers look? Adding on the SHBRL side? Would appreciate any feedback.

I think you will need to add quite a bit to the SHBRL, not only to overcome that $50 price tag, the lottery, the 1 per person, the event only nonsense that some people pack into their appraisal, but also based on people's impressions of the VBDL and recent FT's that have gone up seeking it have been staggering.

Just put up an ISO and go play Secret of Evermore, power level your characters and see what happens. YOU WILL WALK AWAY A STRONGER PERSON.

I would prefer to walk away from this post an am not sure why I posted this in the first place. These types of posts are asinine and mine is no different. I apologize for this temporary break in my own sanity. Please excuse me while I kick my own ass for a bit.

Can we have a compare/contrast discussion re: Trading in Nobilia and ISO:FT Forums?

This thread should give something of an answer:

    http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/bb-vanilla-bean-dark-lord.51889/

and that was for a Bourbon Vanilla DL, not a Brandy Vanilla.

Bottle counts were likely very close. Both are extremely sought after and have similar W:G ratios. I would say if your willing to make up the difference with limited availability beer it could be done with the right person. I recently traded a package including SH BRL for cable car and malvasia rosso<-which I think would be harder to land than bvdl. I think people go too crazy over dark lord, though I've never had a barrel aged version I really don't care to try any due to what it seems to take.

Edit: on a side note, this forum is for people to ask trading questions to get another persons point of view. Every time some one asks a question they get their face ripped off for trying to win trades. People also seem to always tell them to post and find out, but when they do that their thread or this forum blows up with I can't believe someone is trying to trade x beer for y beer. Why not give a little constructive criticism and see if it helps the ISO FT forum in the long run. It seems like the only acceptable posts in this forum are bad trader/good trader alerts.

A Brandy Vanilla recently went for something like Cable Car + Rare + Grey Monday + Juicy + 3 other good bottles (it was basically a pick-7). I'm not disagreeing that the value right now might seem crazy, but that seems to be where it's at.

Both bottles have somewhat similar values. I was offered something like Rare+T25+KH+ for Brandy Vanilla but I opened mine instead (right choice). My last SHBRL trade was part of a package for Blabaer '11 750mL.

Ann + Norma + T25 just got offered in an ISO for a Brandy Vanilla DL. So it looks like that beer is still going nowhere but up.

If anyone with a Brandy Vanilla (or PVW DL) agrees, I've got two bourbon vanilla dark lords to offer for your bottle.

Coming from someone who has landed both within the past two months, here is what I've traded for each:

Bourbon Vanilla DL: Rare, BCS Vanilla, KH, Bramble, Cherry Rye, Coffee '10 1:6 (I should note I received several offers and went with the dude that offered to add an Upland Blackberry)

    SH BRL: Fou Foune '12, T25, BBmonster 29 - 1:3

    Hope this helps.

Is Brandy Vanilla really worth 2x Bourbon Vanilla DL? Serious question, I've only had Bourbon Vanilla...
