I remember seeing some iso on this a while back. I'm not a fan of pumpkin beer so I didn't pay attention. I see the beer store near me has just got some in. Does anyone know if it was a special barrel aged version people were looking for, or just the regular? If it's just the regular, I'd be happy to trade for locals, but since I don't like pumpkin, wasn't sure if it was just the regular that's an ISO for folks. Is this something that doesn't have wide distribution?
The barrel aged version is a cork and cage 750 with a white label, whereas the regular is a 22oz capped bomber with an orange label. You can't mistake one for the other based on what the bottle looks like. Smashed Pumpkin is just a seasonal with large distribution. I'm not sure you would even get locals for it - probably best off as an extra to somebody who likes pumpkin beers if you've already bought it. The Barrel Aged Smashed Pumpkin is more limited, but still not terribly desirable. You might have a better chance of trading this for something, at least with tickers.
Thanks, I didn't buy any, just thought people wanted it, so would have been happy to accommodate. Didn't strike me as a desirable beer but I feel that way about all pumpkin beers
