Yeah maybe Ho Ho Hopit is the 6th beer but I only see a keg ring label approval for that one.

Juicy tree looks to have both keg ring and can label approval, so hopefully will get stand alone release.

The releases for the rest of the year are out, including what’s in the Holiday Pack. No stand alone for the Juicy Tree but at least we get Spruce Pilsner!

Super happy to see Cup a Joe, not sure nitro will make it any better but should work well. All in all happy to have some pretty tasty brews in the pipeline to finish up the year!

Hopefully Spruce Pilsner will be a yearly release moving forward.

Curious - do they still bottle The Magician or is it taproom only now?

Double Magician was a seasonal release in late 2017/early 2018 I believe, and was part of the Variety pack at the end of 2018.

Regular ol' Magician was a year-round keg release for a few years up until 2017(?). I used to get it on tap at a local place that's no more, unfortunately.

Couldn't say when the last time Magician saw bottles, before 2014 or 15 I think. Could be wrong.

From your lips to Joe's/Scott's ears.
A little PGGB and Evil Urges couldn't hurt, either.

Glad I get to try Raisin Apollo, that's one of those legendary Shorts beers I've never had.

They bottled it 2-3 years ago as an Our Family Store exclusive and sold for $1 a bottle.

But yeah definately always have to get a growler to go from the pub whenever I'm there.

I wonder if Tea Pain is a Bourbon London Fog.

Also about to be crushing Cup A Joe all winter.

I can never seem to find Spruce Pilsner. Clearly Shorts does this just to screw with me.

Nitro Cup a Joe is an exciting development.

Not announced, but I happened to stumble on some Chuggasus while out and about today.

Had a chance to try this one at the Anni Party and thought it was a nice pour. Downside? It's in four-pack format.

Another downside to Chuggasus? “Natural Flavors Added” in small print on side of the label.

Gemini is quite tasty, started with a single because I don't love milkshake IPA's, but I will be snagging a sixer.

The Short's eNewsletter that I received a couple days ago says it is a new logo as well as new packaging graphics, which I interpreted as the cardboard carriers or boxes for bottles and cans. Old stock is being used up before the new stuff will be seen.

My store advertised it as an 18-pack at about $40. It's been a couple years since I bought one of these so my memory is fuzzy, but has this always been an 18-pack?

It has been that way for several years now. 6 different beers, 3 of each.

I had the pleasure of attending the GABF a few weeks ago. Chuggasus was by far the best IPA I had that night.

Wow, that’s interesting. Did your sample have TONS of sediment and floaters in it?

I had a 4 pack and thought it was pretty decent, but it was maybe the chunkiest looking beer I’ve ever had, which isn’t really an issue for me, but the flavor was quite unexpected. Whatever “natural flavors” were added really stuck out for me and seemed to dominate the taste profile. Wondering if the cans I had were maybe a little off.

I love most Short’s IPA’s but tend to avoid the flavored/fruited ones…wish they would have made it clear in the description.

Glad you liked it though! Feel like Short’s love has been lacking lately.

No floaties in my sample. But then again, it was only a one ounce sample.

Tea Pain is fantastic! It's exactly what I hoped it was, barrel aged London Fog.

I hope moving forward we get some more barrel aged twists on classics hit distribution now that it seems the private stache series is on hold or done for the time being. I would love to see Bourbon Bellaire Brown which I think it is called Huckster. I never had it, but have seen it pop up on the COLA registry from time to time and there was the one time they bottled it for one of their beer paired dinners back in 2016/2017.

Really hope to see Tea Pain, sounds delicious.

They’ve had 22’s of Huckster at Tom’s in Northport for months, maybe even close to a year. I’ll see if they’re dated next time I’m in there. I haven’t tried the bottled version but did have the Bourbon Bellaire Brown at the pub as well. Enjoyed it but think their brown is maybe a little thin for the bourbon treatment. Wondering if it’s the same batch as the bottled version…?

Just went to the local store to get some Spruce and stumbled into Nitro Cup a Joe. Not sure why I had in my head that it was going to be BBA Joe, when clearly it’s stated upthread NITRO.

In any event, can’t wait to dive in. Feels like the last time I had the regular version was like 2014, but that can’t be right, can it??

I rather enjoyed the winter pilsner. Putting pine trees on the can was a bit deceptive though, and had me expecting spruce.

Nitro Cup a Joe is really good, but I prefer the regular version. Looks like Evil Urges and Hopstache will be back next month, and Psychedelic Cat Grass will be a year round offering starting in March. Makes me wonder if a year rounder is being dropped from the lineup to make room for Cat Grass.

Interesting indeed. I applaud their efforts to try something different. But the last case of beer I purchased was Bell's Saturn and only because where else could you purchase a case of a barrel aged barleywine for $43.

I just don't see sales being good enough to make this a long term strategy. Most craft drinkers won't purchase a case of anything. So then you need a drinker to coordinate with friends to plan ahead for a case purchase? Not very likely. Perhaps the designated retail locations will order a few cases and bust them up at their shops.
