A buddy helped me out with these. I've been looking for a long time. Went to university of Maryland and our mascot is a terrapin. New favorite glass!!! :grinning:

What's the story behind these? When were they released? Can they still be found overseas at some bars?

They are from the 80s, the Tumbler seems to be the most common and the skinnier stemmed glass (flute?) was recently released on Belgium in a Box in small quantities so it's around a bit more amongst nerds and collectors.

I remember when they were no where to be found. Then one summer they started popping up all over. Seems like they are starting to disappear again. Get them while you can because they'll be ghost. Unless Cantillon decides to ruin another glass by retro'ing it.

Does it have plenty of room for a 12oz pour + head?

It's not the best for aroma because it doesn't give enough room for the head. The shape of the glass doesn't help either. Barely enough room for 12oz of liquid.

It's just a cool shaped glass.

Any idea if this is an older or newer Almanac glass? Just seems to be a different color than your glass:

It's an older glass that was released beginning of last year IIRC. Says Farm to Barrel on the back. Still a sweet glass.

It's either slightly older or it came out at the same time.
