Setting up an E-commerce site can be expensive and requires capital and resources, I'm not sure if GI has deep enough pockets.

I've been using the mystic glass all the time recently, love it. Are the two Idle Hands glasses available at their brewery?

Is it just me, or does the BCBS snifter 2nd from the left have it's label put on differently (lower)?

i had 9 of them lined up the other day ( some mine some others in my tasting group ) all of them had slight different placement of label.. seemed odd to me as well but i know they all came from goose island.. kinda sloppy workmanship if you ask me for a higher end sought after glass but i still think there boss

I have a set of these glasses and also have one with a higher logo placement. At first I thought I was seeing things and did like a double take. I'm also surprised at the inconsistent workmanship. With the glasses being of the same height, it makes you wonder just how the label was applied, by hand maybe?

Still, it kinda bothers me to be honest and was hoping to either buy another glass or trade my upper for someone's lower.....not sure if I liked the way that sounded, but you get the picture.

Need/Want. Did you order those online?

Nope, they aren't sold online. Gotta trade for them or know someone who lives near the brewery. Not sure how many of them I might be trading yet, I might save them for future Glass-it-Forwards.

    Check this out:

I can explain the difference. The snifter on the left was the snifter that was actually given to participants in four flights at the Black Friday tasting in November 2012. The snifter on the right was purchased at Goose Island Clybourn and was part of the second batch that was for sale to the general public in late January/early February 2013.

On Black Friday, the participants in the two flights that were added last (IIRC the 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. flights) had to wait for their snifters. Their snifters were shipped to them in late January; the rest of that order became the snifters available to the general public for purchase. This was all due to the fact that the manufacturer that produced the first batch of glasses was only able to complete part of the order before being wiped out by Hurricane Sandy. The second batch of glasses was produced by a different manufacturer and the graphics on the glasses were applied in a slightly different arrangement; specifically the Bourbon County logo is applied in a slightly arched fashion on the Batch 2 snifter (right) when compared to the Batch 1 snifter (left).

So in fact, there are two variations of the BCBS snifter. The snifters with the more linear logo were those that were actually distributed on Black Friday 2012 (Batch 1). I'd estimate that about 200 of the true Batch 1 "Black Friday" BCBS snifters actually exist. Those with the arched logo (Batch 2) were distributed to those who were in the 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. flights and were those sold to the general public.

Well, you learn something new every damn day that's for sure. Now, all I need is to find some kind soul willing to trade my upper for their lower. I myself like the lower placed logo, having a mismatched set makes me sad. :slight_frown:
I'm kinda anal that way. I have my doubts about seeing these glasses again, something tells me that they (GI) will release a different glass this November much like the glass from BCBS from 2011 was different......oh well.
Thanks for the information and solving that mystery. So, did Oswald work alone?
