Looked through the Midwest forums and couldn't find a thread dedicated to the best saison/wild producer in the region.
I was looking for some info from someone who was at this past weekend's release of the collab with Off Color, La Bière De Fantaisie. Anyone got a rough idea of how many bottles were sold, limit, price point and how many folks were there?

I would also like to keep this thread going for any future releases as a way to gauge what an appropriate offer would be in a trade as I only get to make it to one or two releases there per year.

    Cheers

Bottles were $20 and the limit was technically four per person, but you could go through the line multiple times if you were so inclined. I'd say there was around 200 people there by noon. The weather certainly kept some away. No idea how much was produced.

@Jarpo One other question. Were they 750ml bottles?

Does Side Project do Credit/Debit only, cash only or both on the bottle releases at Perinnial?

The SP releases are awesome. It's a welcoming, very pleasant crowd. There's usually a nice bottle share. Despite being extremely busy, the brewery employees remain friendly, accommodating & helpful throughout the release.

I will be in town for a wedding and would love to be able to get a bottle for my tasting group. How are these releases? Do they start selling right at noon or will there be a several hour wait?

They start selling right at noon. Someone will come out about 5-10 minutes before to take a rough count of the line and determine the limit from that. People start showing up at 9 for Saturday noon releases. No earlier that that though, as a courtesy to the residents of the complex they operate out of.

There's always a line on their big releases. It forms early but friends I know that can't come until nearly the last minute usually succeed in getting bottles. The releases I've been to start at 4:00 what's & noon for Sat releases.

So how was the PN#3 release? Limits? Line? Usual details? How many unborn children am I going to have to give up for this one?

I think there were 500+ that showed up. Heard the first person came around 6-7ish! The waiting wasn't bad at all because of the bottleshare and amount of awasome people there. Limit was 3/person and you can go through the line as many times as you want (most can go through twice and only a few were able to through 3 times).

I went through once then when the line got shorter I decided to go back through, they sold out about 10 people in front of me lol. Looking back, I didn't need to drop another $90 on beer that day anyway!

There was also a surprise Perennial release of Funky Wit.

Both were available to go. ProCATstination was released on the 18th and was 1/person. Funky Wit was 1/person at the Pullings Nails B3 release and like PN you could gotton more if you went through the line again.

Okie dokie, whats the deets on the Punchdown release? Looks like 4 bottles pp? $20? Judging by the trading boards right now, the St Louis is strong on this one. Cory's best release yet i assume?
