Yeah I don't mean to oversimplify it, but this all strikes me as very straightforward.

Don't anticipate SP to stop these annoying business practices that are financially advantageous out of the kindness of their heart any time soon. The only impetus for them to really change course is if their bottom line is impacted.

 

got it! Yeah for me the ability to have a proxy is what I was wanting it for. As well as access to those beers

 

I wonder how many people are waiting to join that don't know everything that has been discussed here.

Based on what was offered to LC previously (vs. public), this felt like bait and switch. We were all convinced we'd have access to non-public beers, based on every previous iteration having that. There was a history, and because it was always like that, everyone assumed it still would be. But then they (let's just say) doubled the LC membership, and they gave us nothing.

How many beer nerds want to be in LC that don't know anyone in LC, aren't on here, or some other form of social media (if you call BA that)? Seems like it would have to be small? Guess i just wonder how many would really still be in line after all this.
