Since somebody in this thread had the first one a while back way before that sale.

 

there should be 4 more at SP for festivals and what not. (possibly 3 actually. I know one was drank by the staff but not sure if that was #9 or included in the 8)

Casey magnums were once $60 and the glass cost them an extra $10. Magnums in the wine world are essentially double the price of the 750 ml. I've said it twice and I'll say it again, the SP magnum prices are stupid and I'm stupider for owning one.

 

but there isn’t a premium on the 750... isn’t it exactly double the cost of the one half it’s size? I just bought the smaller format since I know I’ll probably drink it alone

 

I believe there is a premium on the price, but I didn’t see anyone mention specifics other than for Casey magnums above.

For example, I have a Hill Farmstead Arthur magnum in my fridge. It cost $45. A 750 of Arthur is only $10.

I’ve always understood it as there is a premium cost in producing that size glass so it’s going to show up in the price of the beer regardless if the beer is something special or not.

 

That's a good call. For some reason I was thinking the 750ml variants were $5 more but looking back at Fuzzy and seeing Raspe out there right now, the prices were/are exactly twice the cost for the larger format. The 1.5L bottles, however, much different story. Thanks to @bread_c for the explanation above - a less acidic version in the larger format would tend to make sense as the fruit, yeast, etc. is spread out over a larger surface area as it sits/lays in the cellar over time.

 

SP / Shared Black Is Beautiful is in cans. sounds amazing. 50% BA stout and 50% Vibes with a dash of Mexican vanilla beans.

 

CdC b2 announced to LC members. Sounds like OdB on steroids but possibly inspired by SARA? Said it was done around the same time as Sunsets.
