    BBT2022 blew the fastest, not sure of the exact time because I wasn't really paying attention but it was definitely at least an hour maybe two hours. When I left around 9 2020 and 2021 were still flowing

    probably getting a little ahead of things here, but DBD Miz Oak $45 on-site per the brewery tasting room online menu. {gulp}

    (or is this where the other 3 DBDs were at earlier this year?… i was thinking they were $40?)

    BBT is suspiciously absent from today’s Cellar menu as well as the updated brewery menu.

    There wasn't anything that implied BBT would be around beyond Tuesday though?

    I’ll admit I just assumed it would be available on site starting Cellar week like last year. I mean why would they not do that again? Seems more likely that they allocated less for on-site this year to sell more in packages, which rubs me the wrong way personally.

    Pickup window is different this year and longer. Which yes was their choice, but I don't think it means there's necessarily less on site. Last year pickups started during anniversary week and went through the end of the month. This year they are doing Black Friday till the end of the year, maybe they want to have it around for that whole time instead.

    to be honest, I think SP cares so much about being unpredictable and mysterious that it isn’t safe to assume anything about how they release beer anymore. That want it that way, keeps ya interested

    While it's not as useful for folks in California (but is very useful for me), Oak & Steel here in KC has had one or two SP sours on tap on since September (with the expectation of that being the case going forward) and is getting the occasional bottle drop as well.

    This was where my joke came from above about the 3500 packages of BBT. The indication was that there'd be no draft (except for Tuesday) of BBT, and everything else would be onsite bottles. Personally, for anyone not-local that is picking up bottles, that blows. The idea of bottles having better margins was even discussed briefly to try to explain why they might have such a small amount of draft. The fact that they had so many packages seems to be at least as good of an explanation as anything else.

    I'm glad that seemingly everyone that could want a package got one, but it's a rather bizarre decision I feel like to have no BBT on draft. I would think that would cause at least some people who would otherwise drive to choose instead to just use a proxy.

    You've harped on this a few times, but I gotta be honest, I really don't remember BBT draft being available during pickups. Back to at least 2018 I just remember them having onsite bottles during pickups. Now maybe your comment isn't in regards to just this year, but always. Either way, I don't remember BBT draft every really being available during pickups. Just bottles galore.

    i think they did do a bit of draft pours during 2021. think it was a mix of draft and bottle throughout pickups.

    as far as draft vs. bottles, i think one concept that leans towards the bottles is that it’s the holidays and time for sharing with friends and family. basically, they hope you’ll bring 3 or 4 buddies and split a bottle and possibly all order a draft or 2.

    Last year my favorite part about BBT pickups was the widely available draft pours of BBT 21. I think it may have been on tap for 3 straight weekends. I dont mind splitting a bottle with a few friends when I have time but grabbing a quick pour in between the many holiday activities and gamily events was quite nice and I will miss it.

    What? Last year draft was available every single day from the start of Cellar week through sometime in mid January, and then they switched to bottles which lasted until the week before Stout Week in February.
