Had for the first time weds night excellent beer from SN as usual ABv is 7 % though not 4.8 %. No problem for me although I will say it goes down like a lower ABv beer.....

I really enjoyed this hoppy lager, it has the hop profile i like and the drinkability of a crisp lager. I definitely will have a couple of twelve packs on hand. Good job sierra nevada.

I just saw this the other day. I also saw a couple of Sam Adams new spring beers out already. I'm all for seasonal beers but c'mon, we're not even 10 days into the new year. I want to enjoy my Higher ABV, heavy and dark beers for a bit longer before I even start to think about spring brews.

With that being said - I have picked up a couple 6 packs to enjoy when spring is finally here. I may have one before hand, however there is no telling

One of the best beers in the beer camp box, this one and the latte. I will get a six pack of this for sure. Cheers!

Love all the new SN brews coming out, I will track them down no matter the time of year. Putting my .02 in on "seasonal"...if they keep going forward will they eventually release back at the correct season?

Picked up the 4 way ipa pack last week and some Hoppy Lager last night. The 4 way is outstanding for the price, especially the blindfold ipa. If I could change any part of the 4 way pack I'd swap the golden ipa with Hoppy Lager, but all 5 beers are a hop heads dream. Nicely done SN!

this beer is a great six pack. Defnitely less malty than most sierra beers. Very crushable and tasty.

I suffer from lager phobia except for fathom ipl or any double red lager that I can get my hands on. I'll try a hoppy lager from sierra any time, can't remember what it tasted like. Its even in our Kroger grocery stores.

This beer is outstanding, I am definitely going to buy another 6 pack of it. Love the Citra/Equinox hop flavor combo. Very unique but delicious. I vote for this to be a yearly seasonal.

Had the Hoppy Lager last night. Loved it! Great taste with just enough hoppiness without killing the "lager". Well done SN!

Awesome. Electric Ray was easily the best of the 2014 BC offerings I had on tap, though it was certainly fun drinking some of these at unexpected locales. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go to any of the actual events, but maybe next time!

I can drink 3 7% ABV SN Hoppy Lagers and feel fresh the next AM, drink 3 5% Boston Lagers and have beer buzz head the next AM. Indeed thanks SN.

    i thought the same thing....

just picked it up today. this has to be the best "new" beer they have put out this year -- if not the best beer overall.

celebration has really lost it's luster -- but glad i picked this up.

Not sure what it is but SA's Lager gives me a weird feeling, the next, day. SN's products never make me hurt the next day. Yeah I probably wasn't clear with the last post.

Man this Hoppy Lager is DANGEROUS. So drinkable you could crush 6 in less than an hour but then have fun standing up lol!!

Good stuff. My favorite IPL so far.

What an excellent beer for its style. I poured it in a glass and could smell the hops over a foot away.

Hoppy lager was 10.99 at one of the local bottle shops. That seemed high to me

This is brewed with citra and equinox? Are you sure? The hop character seems very "noble" to me.

Couldn't agree more as I polished off 3 packs already but then i am 6'8 so It doesn't hit me as hard.
Having just been on a trip in Nortcal over the holdiays and trying some of the other IPA's and Winter pack offerings from SR I was not nearly as impressed as I was with this one.

Huge fan of anything Sierra Nevada releases. I just hope it makes its way out east. It's shocking how many new beers from big breweries never even make it here.
Here's to keeping my fingers crossed.

I'll have to go check out Meijer if they're going for 13.99 a 12er that's much more reasonable.

It was 10.99 a six pack which is some BS apparently.

Glad I passed on it when I did

(Also tried their BA Narwal this weekend and thought that was great. So had some good luck with SN)
