Nah don't recall seeing much Liquid Hoppiness anywhere. I think a few places, but it's not prominent.

Fairly certain my area received 12 packs of Liquid Hoppiness too.

Good on them. I'm seeing a split where the 6 packs of SN that are available at the stores I visit most often are the little thing line, dankful, and the current seasonal. Snpa, current seasonal, and mixed packs usually in the 12s. Torpedo is hit or miss and usually in the single section

Isn't Torpedo sold only as single cans anymore? Might have been something I heard from a speculative beer guy.

Well, maybe regular torpedo. Tropical torpedo I have seen 6 and 12 packs of. And it's the one listed under their "core beers" section on the site. I sort of just refer to them both as torpedo

Regular Torpedo is under the core section, too -- and it still shows 2 sizes of bottles and cans. Once again, never use a retailer as a source.

Ha, somehow my eyes just brushed right over that last time i looked. Apparently my local retailers don't see a market for the regular torpedo outside of the singles shelf.

Based on the "information" I got from that one retailer, maybe it's the distros plans to stock out singles?

    Local marketing applied.

Around me regular Torpedo is only sold in 12 packs in large grocery stores. I miss the 6 pack option. 6 pack options can be had at liquor stores but are often more than 2 months in the bottle which generally means 'no go' for me. I have the impression that core SN brands sell more briskly in grocery stores. Thankfully Celebration can itch that particular itch for a few months.

They may have meant Atomic Torpedo, which is now only in 19.2 oz cans. This beer seemed to be headed for the graveyard already and was even moved to SN's graveyard on their site, and at a retailer near me there were June cans that sat forever. But to my surprise I was there recently and the June cans were replaced with 09/14 ones (still old, though ha ha).

Picked up my second 12 pack of the season yesterday. It won’t be the last.

Maybe that's what he was talking about, but left out "Atomic."

Does that beer even show at the SN site?*

    *It does -- under "Specialty."

I think I take the prize (so far). I didn't look until I got home but I just picked up a six-pack from TJs which was canned on October 18 which would be about 20 days fresh.

Well, if it's anything like my 10/05 cans, the hops are dropping off fast.

    KIDDING!

Our nearby grocery store had 6-packs and 12-packs, so I picked up a 6er yesterday for $10.99.

After tasting this magnificent beer, I can see I made a mistake, because I am LOVING this year’s iteration - the resiny pine bitterness is amped up, but there’s a nice floral hop flavor and a bit of biscuity malt (I agree with @steveh that it’s less prominent than in year’s past) for balance.

I’ve probably had this every year since 2007 or so, and it’s my favorite seasonal release for a reason - it’s a delicious, well-executed, readily available and affordable (IMHO) example of the best WCIPA’s have to offer.

And SN has been brewing it for 41 years. Roll that around in your discerning beer nerd melon fo a minute.

Anyone find Celebration at a location that didn’t display as having it on SN’s beer finder? Nowhere near me has it yet apparently . . .

Found it today. They had 6 packs and 12 packs. The case price for 12 packs was $35 and the case price for 6 packs was $39. It is a curious thing that this happens. Same thing with cans or bottles having a different price.
I've had a few Celebrations so far and I have determined that I will go back to buy more.

On a serious note, this year's seems more bitter (not in a bad way), so maybe that hop freshness will last longer.

Have you used the non official official sierra nevada finder? It usually seems to be more accurate and recent.

That beer finder is usually a day behind. So if your store received it today it will not reflect on the finder until tomorrow (typically in my experience anyway).

It doesn't even show keg availability -- for those who've been asking about draft tastings.

The site shows Celebration Ale at bars. If that's the case 99.9% of the time it's kegs. The bar I'm at right now shows a delivery a few days ago but they haven't tapped it yet

Have you asked them? Sort of surprised the website doesn't show keg availability.*

*Looking at the other labels, it doesn't show keg availability either. Maybe they have a separate site for kegerator owners?**

**My local, big box-like liquor retailer doesn't even show keg availability for Celebration.

The first thing I said when I walked in the door was, have you tapped the Celebration yet and the owner said I got one down in the basement on deck.

The issue of whether kegs are available for purchase is a whole other story, and you're right, I'm not seeing that availability either. I did see someone post that they got a keg, but I'm not sure which thread

Is that a Market Basket in Texas?

If I put "keg" in the finder near me I see plenty of bars/restaurants and stores that have kegs.

@Genuine already tapped a keg in CT I believe.

    The SN finder?* **

*Looks like there's a tiny little dive near me that's supposed to have it on tap -- not a joint I'd ever expect to find it. I'll be in the area on Friday, might have to stop in.

**There's also a retailer listed near me that's supposed to have it, but their website shows no SN kegs at all. My skepticism is rising.

Its always funny to see stores that have 12 packs but no 6 packs. Have no idea why that is.
