See - the squeaky wheel gets the grease!
I hope it's the same recipe, no weird hops please.
I think there is a void in the domestic market for more Kolsch or Helles. Easy drinking, low abv, not hoppy. I've been drinking a lot of Cigar City Tampa Lager and Jack's Abby House Lager (along with my Celebration).
If it's in the summer pack, I hope Kellerweiss is in there too.

    All cans, please.

Oh, and the Tampa area TW's got the Fresh Pack in stock. $19.99.

Picked up a 12 at Total Wine in Plano - it's getting cold currently, fired up to try them all.

Had a chance to try the Session IPA, IPA and Celebration Ale last night. Not typically a fan of session IPAs but this one was good and made me a convert, albeit possibly for only one day. I don't recall having had a beer with Strata hops but it seems to suit a session IPA well. A nice, appropriate level of bitterness - it's there at the edges but never gets in the way of the grapefruit peel flavor I was getting.

The IPA was very good. I really liked this one. Sad that I only have two more left of it. The Celebration Ale was, well, it's Celebration Ale so of course it's outstanding (imo). The difference between the canned version and the bottled version was quite noticeable for me. I attribute the difference to the varied carbonation approaches SNB mentioned above in this thread. The lower level of carbonation in the canned version brought a different perspective to this classic IPA which I thoroughly enjoyed. I did not try them side by side as I had finished my bottled sixer a couple days earlier but I recommend trying them side by side if you do get a chance. Curious to hear others' opinions. I hope SN considers releasing the canned version again in the future, obviously not to replace the bottled version but as a complimentary (smaller) release to appease me anyway.

Looking forward to having the DIPA today. SN hit a homerun with this pack imo. Cheers.

    Good luck!

Just cracked the IPA, love the balance in this beer, makes it so nice and drinkable. Perfect for college football.

I have tried them all as of today. I'm not even going to bother with a formal review.

    Here is my take:

I may have to find an excuse to head back to Safeway to pick up one or two more for immediate, short-term consumption/sharing. The can date was 10/28 and $15.99!

Anyway, Celebration is...well Celebration. My forever seasonal "must-buy." The mouthfeel is a little different than in bottles, but still fantastic nonetheless! The Fresh Hop IPA and Fresh Hop Session IPA are the surefire stars of this pack. WOW!

The Fresh Hop Double IPA, on the other hand, has an ever-slight smokiness on the finish and lacks the "typical SN hop bite" of the other two. It's pretty good, but seems rather "muted" compared to the other beers.

In this pack, Sierra Nevada clearly shows that it's keeping a thumb firmly planted on the West Coast side of the "East/West IPA" scale...and for that, I will always buy more. Its refreshingly new and kind of 'old-school' familiar at the same time. I flat out LOVE it.

    Dear Sierra Nevada,
Can you make canned six packs of the Fresh Hop Session or Fresh Hop IPA?
    Sincerely,
    My Beer Fund

Tweak the DIPA a little so it matches the flavor profile of the other beers and this is absolutely EPIC.

Honestly, I can't think of a 12 pack sampler that was better than this.

    Bravo Sierra Nevada, BRAVO!

Was unlucky at the first two retailers but after I made some phone calls I was able to track one down at Winco. None of my local Total Wine or BevMo have this pack.

Agree with your thoughts here. Having just had the DIPA, it leaves me slightly disappointed in comparison with how good the rest of the pack is. But as you also said, I can't think of a 12 pack sampler I've had which can match this one in terms of overall quality.

According to the locator, this has hit NYC but is still missing from PA. We haven't even seen the Snowpack yet! Really disappointed that I can never try Sierra Nevada ipas fresh. I'd buy so much of this pack if it was available in PA before the beers were almost 2 months old :slight_frown:

I finally tracked this down. Fresh Hop IPA is the big surprise. A big green hop resin bomb and truly unfiltered. Drinking the Celebration from the can made me appreciate bottle conditioning which gives the ale a more rounder (less punchy) taste profile and also better mouth feel.

Could not agree with this more. After tracking the pack down at Target of all places (shockingly the only offering spot in my zipcode), the IPA is the star, the Session it's co-pilot, the Celebration a bit odd (compared to bottle which I prefer), and DIPA the anchor...for my palate and preferences.

The double IPA was a dissapointment for me, almost black in color like a porter and tasted like a red ale , the single IPA was a great surprise though , unfiltered and Danky. Session was great too along with the celebration.

Grabbed it on Sunday at Harris Teeter in Winston-Salem. The session IPA and IPA were solid. I got an interesting black pepper finish on the IPA. Celebration was great, as always. The DIPA was kind of a malty mess for me. 3 out of 4 ain’t bad.

Haven't had this, but the reviews make it appear as though the double IPA is below average. All others appear to be very good.

Struggling to find this in the suburbs north of Philadelphia...which is odd. We usually get all SN special releases without much waiting around. Not sure what the deal is....Any PA people see this yet?

Fortunately I grabbed a case Celebration, and sixer of both Hoptimum and Lagunitas Born Yesterday to dabble with in the interim.

Yes whenever I get up to the Boston area but they are difficult to find in NYC.
I think SN is the perfect big craft brewery to introduce the style to a broader audience (and they don't mess up traditional style beers).

No wet hop beers in this mixed pack, you're thinking of their Harvest IPA which is out in six packs right now.

SNB mentioned in this post that it will not be seeing all the markets which typically see a SN mix pack due to this being a much smaller run. What this means for LV, I'm not sure.

The freshest we ever see ANY Sierra Nevada product on the central coast of Oregon is at least 2-3 months old (and stored warm), Columbia distributing is not your friend.

Okay quick review of those FRESH HOP beers.
The Double IPA was amazing. 8% and tasty. Not a dry IPA like most DIPA are. Citrus notes and smooth. Not harsh.
The Regular Fresh Hop IPA was a bit more Citrus with less bite at 6.4%
The Session Fresh Hop IPA was my least favorite. 4.8% and it loses a lot of the flavor. It has more of the DANK smell and too light of a body. Easily crushable though
also in the pack is my all time favorite Sierra Nevada beer the CELEBRATION IPA in a can. Still the best IMO but that DIPA comes close to beating it!

Someone upthread described the DIPA as “Celebration’s big brother”, which I think nails it. Deep amber with a malt backbone, and not where DIPAs are at these days, but it is delicious for what it is, and perfect on a chilly fall night.

Thought the beers were good, price was very good ($15.99, same as other SN 12 packs). Celebration is the best of the pack so I doubt I'll buy another pack while that's on the shelf.

Digging the session IPA. It is quite dank, as others have mentioned. I recycled the box, which had some info on the hops used. Think I saw something about Amarillo?
