Most likely and as of Wednesday Kunda had two cases left so that may be gone as well.

Right when I gave up on this pack, I stumbled across it. $23.99 (ouch) at Stone Bev in Fairmount. Paid it since I've been looking for it for so long. They still had several left. Only place in Philly proper that I've seen it at.

Ugh our prices are awful. But good find! What are the dates on the package and cans?

Packaged 10/19. Cans are 10/12 and 10/13. So I guess the same canning run that the rest of the country has been drinking for a month now.

Higher prices, behind the curve on dates...what is not to love about our system? :stuck_out_tongue:

    Another reason to drink local?

But even that is becoming less cost effective.

Depends on what you buy. For example Sly Fox is brewed locally and I can always find those beers fresh and priced reasonably (e.g., a 6-pack of Sly Fox Pikeland Pils for around 8 bucks). If you solely shop from breweries like Tired Hands then you are indeed out of luck as regards "cost effective".

    Cheers!

Where are you finding SF for $8.00? It is now $9.49 everywhere around me, sometimes more.

That was my last purchase (a few months ago).
Well, I suppose that is a case of inflation? I will have to check prices at my local Wegmans next time I go grocery shopping. I know that they recently lowered their prices for 6-packs of Bells Two Hearted so it is not just a case of only prices going up.

Even at $9.49 the price for Sly Fox is not a case of not being "cost effective". Tired Hands prices of $14 - 25 for 4-packs of 16 ounce cans is something else altogether.

    Cheers!

Very few good locals that are sub $38 a case. Six packs, under $10 is rare. Anything not from a pretty large local brewery is even more. Neshaminy creek IPA is over $12 a six and over $40 a case with tax. I don't know how all these other states have $7-8 core six packs.

I paid $14.99 ea for celebration and winter pack 12 packs in Delaware. Here it is around $20.

    Enjoy

I feel that it is when you can get many other beers for close to the same price, and arguably better ones too. The draw of a brewery like Sly Fox was that they were local and cheap. But take away the cheap part... I am not knocking them because they do make some good stuff but their core lineup is solid overall but nothing special.

Yeah check again when you are in Wegman's, you'll see that they have gone up. Whole Foods has been pricey for a while and their Sly Fox beers were always way higher than others.

Tis the season for miracles! Wegman's KOP had one pack, $20.99 so not a bad price around these here parts. Packaged on 11/02 and the DIPA was 10/19. That's the only one I have tried so far but enjoyed it, looking forward to the rest. Loving the cans!

Well, it would appear that we have a difference of opinion here since I think their beers are more than solid. I just got back from visiting the brewpub (Phoenixville) and greatly enjoyed drinking a Kolsch, Saison and a Dunkel. I left with two 4-packs of their latest Hop Project - Keller Pils Tettnang.

I guess since you are not a fan this means more Sly Fox for me!

    Cheers to Sly Fox!!

You mentioned everything but the core lineup. And where did I say I wasn't a fan? I am, Pikeland and their Helles are some of my favorites within that style. I love how they have been canning forever too. But 113 and Phoenix for example are average beers along with some of their others. Again, not knocking them but I think that they/retailers need to be cognizant of pricing, especially within our market.

Worked my way through the beers, solid pack. My thoughts for those interested:

    • The IPA was definitely the standout.
    • I liked the Session way more than I thought that I would, a lighter hoppy Lager ish type of beer. I usually dislike session IPAs but this one was enjoyable.
    • The DIPA was a bigger Celebration, reminded me of a Hop Devil.
    • Celebration, good but I have never understood why this beer has so much hype.
    • I wish the original plans for the IPL would have panned out, would have been interested in trying it.
Will happily drink my way through the rest in the coming weeks.

I saw very few wet/fresh hop brews this season for some reason, but coming across this mix pack made up for it. Each can a charmer. And if session IPAs tended to be as full-bodied as this fresh hop version, I'd drink a lot more session IPAs.

I finally found some in CO this past week. Canning dates ranged from 10/12-10/17 and I felt like Sierra knocked it out of the park generally speaking. I had quite a few fresh hop IPAs this year and all of those were consumed within 3 weeks of canning. This Sierra Nevada Fresh Hop IPA was either my favorite or second-favorite of this entire season even when tasting it at 6-7 weeks old.

I personally thought the DIPA tasted more like an Old Ale (even when compared to some of the "first-wave" DIPAs I thought the color and malt presence was much stronger than is typical), but if taken in that context it is a very good beer.

Feel your pain. We still don't even have regular sixer's of Celebration ale here yet let alone the pack. Not sure whats up with distro this year but this is terrible. On the bright side I did finally see some hop hunter again on the shelf..... pkgd date of 2015.... WTH? @sierranevadabill

I never got the fresh hop pack as it took longer than I expected and I Just stopped caring. I wont expect this one to hit the triangle for a few weeks after release so I don't burn out again.

Not in SEPA either. I would still pick it up if we payed what everyone else did if I saw it but we know it will be at least $10 more a case and 3 months old when it lands.

OK, I was wrong - my apologies. This "Fresh" Hop pack hit my local store this week (via, I assume, Kramer which took over Hub City) - so my prediction above was off by two weeks. "Packed" on 10/27 but the cans were all filled on 12th or 13th - so, it took 2 months for it to reach the consumer - so new to the store that it was "not in the system" when the cashier tried scanning it. (Maybe I even got it a bit cheaper since I was then charged the "Sierra Nevada Seasonal 12 pack" price?)

Sure 2 months isn't that old (and I did buy a case) but by SN's own criteria of "up to 150 days when stored under optimal conditions" that's 40% of it's suggested shelf life and, needless to say, the cases I found were on the floor at room temp, so not exactly "optimal conditions". Still "fresher" that the 2017 Bigfoot that first hit the shelf of the same store late October.:astonished:

For me the Session was the standout. Bought a pack when I was visiting my folks for Thanksgiving. Back here now and just had the last can last night. The session might be one of the better examples of the style I’ve had. Now a big fan of Strata hops. Got some to brew with when I get home.

Bought this at a Hyvee for $14.99 on sale. Date on the box was 11/2. All the beers had a canned date between 10/12 and 10/17 on the bottom... so a couple weeks older than the box. IPA was the standout for me and I thought the DIPA was extremely malt forward. Almost reminded me of a fresh barley wine that still has a hoppy bite.

I made a video review... feel free to check it out if your into that.
