Oh my god back up the truck. Otra Vez is one of my favorite beers, if this is as good as I’m hoping god knows how much I will drink.

I'm glad Otra Vez has been a success and didnt bomb. It didnt exactly have instant success written all over it when it was introduced.

There is a local brewery that makes a lime forward gose, they put it in tequila barrel. The finished product tasted like a margarita. It was fantastic.

Anything Tequila should be dumped out, but it's SN so I'll make room for this one.

I've just started giving sours another chance. I think I like the gose style, just not with lime. I can't stand sour mix (for mixed drinks) and a few goses I've tried tasted like that to me. I probably won't waste my time with this one. Cool idea making a margarita beer though, I'm sure no one has done that before  (dilly dilly)

Is this going to be a six-pack? Also, is Sierra Nevada Bill no longer with Sierra Nevada?

    Whaaaaaat . . .
Honestly, for me I can't decide if this today's sign of the apocalypse or something I should look forward to ? Sounds like a Founders release and not Sierra Nevada !

This was an alpha hops society beer last year. I thought it was pretty great.
Should be some reviews out there.

It took an effort for me to buy this beer as I have not had anything BA in Tequila that tasted decent. The combo of the sour/lime/salt and tequila just worked. I was totally impressed

I’m in for this. I would have loved to see a sub-6% abv but its understandable that it would be hard to keep it low without reformulating the beer.

That is correct, he is no longer working for Sierra Nevada. He now works for Surly Brewing Co.

He still participates on BA. His new BA name is BillManley.

    Cheers!

In looking at the post above to the image, my assumption is it is in a 750 ml format (1pt 9.4oz). And Sierra Bill is now SierraTerence

    12 or 16oz and I'm in.

    750 means I'm out

Guessing it's limited small release. Can't drop $20 on a small serving of beer no matter how good it is.

    Enjoy

Maybe @SierraTerence can provide some insight on how this new beer will be packaged?

    Cheers!

I think it is great for Sierra Nevada that you are willing to take up the slack here. They could use all of the help you are willing to provide as a consumer.

    Cheers to you!!

I don't know aboot the beer this thread is centered on but
Sierra Nevada Trip In The Woods: Chocolate Chipotle Stout
is pretty amazing. I couldn't find a thread mentioning it.

    ^ Yes, 750 ml.

@Bitterbill The Chocolate Chipotle Stout was limited release for our gift shops, but we produced more than they can sell so you might find it outside of our locations.

Is that the same stout that was released in a four pack, along with Six Rights, a couple years ago?

this one is bourbon barrel aged... Some of the base beer is from that four pack.

That came out wrong. I am truly sorry for the post looks. I meant no disparagement to the ahs beers or them being released later.

What I mean was that is a great beer, and the most successful of these ahs experiments seem to be making it to wider distribution. Meaning if you see one of these that was an ahs beer, it’s probably very, very good.

Wow, I'm actually really excited for this. I was skeptical at first but I do rather enjoy the base beer. With some extra hints of agave and oak? Sounds like a winner to me.
