Here is a new label from Sierra Nevada for an upcoming bottle release of their Barrel-Aged Lime Ale, which is a new brand from their Trip In The Woods Series. Up until now, all prior brands in their Trip In The Woods Series have been draft only releases, so it will be nice if this is the first in many bottle releases in the series. Trip In The Woods is a series small batch, wood/barrel-aged beers from Sierra Nevada.

Barrel-Aged Lime Ale will be aged in Tequila barrels with natural flavors (lime, I would presume) and will clock in at 9.3%abv. This will come packaged in 12.7oz (375ml) bottles and no word on distribution as of yet, but the label does indicate it will be packaged at both the Chico, CA and Mills River, NC breweries. I would assume this will be extremely limited.

When you posted Barrel aged lime ale, I had to check the calendar and make sure it wasn't April 1st.

Format sucks, distro will likely also be disappointingly small on this. :slight_frown:

Shame, because I'd love to throw my money at this.

I will try it if I stumble across it, but I"m not going to seek it out.

Wow I like the sound of this! Not a big fan of Sierra Nevada's year round collection but their seasonal/limited releases are always enjoyable.

Is this some sort of collab with NB? NB used to do the Trip series with Elysian. And, I'd bet this gets fairly wide distro. Maybe not a ton on shelves everywhere, but the point of having 2 breweries is to be able to get stuff out into the system.

Don't think it's a collab. There have been prior releases in this series, but all have been draft up to this point. They've done Narwhal aged in Tawny Port barrels and a Scotch Ale aged in Bourbon Barrels.

If it's almost a $1 an ounce like their other barrel aged beers I'll be passing.

    Well that's disappointing.

Do these see wider distribution for draft releases?
