I have a question, does anybody collect the six pack holders? I have started and was wondering if anybody does, how do you store them, and does anybody have any cool ones they are wanting to get rid of?
I don't collect them, but if you do and you are looking for some ideas to create something with them, here's a link to a previous thread. http://beeradvocate.com/community/t...hing-with-six-pack-cartons.12347/#post-143559
I recently started collecting/saving my six pack holders - they easily fold down so it's easy to stack them for storage. I don't have any plans to do anything with them.
This on too, from just a little while ago http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/six-four-pack-holders.82413/#post-1192501
For any bar/wall mural, how do you account for all of the different sizes? Is there a lot of planning that goes into this, or is it just something you can do easily?
My pal just overlapped them, but not by too much. He tried to even them out at first, but gave up. Now, it is just a huge collage.
I'm not sure what you mean - All 6 pack holders are the same size, pretty much. I fold them down and stack them - they all seem to be the same size. For a wall mural, I would just cut out the main part of the holder, the front part that looks like the bottle label.
They're all slightly different (look at one from Sierra Nevada or Lagunitas style bottles VS one with the taller bottles), and I thought this might throw it off a little. Guess not.
The messed up part is that there's a bunch I just forget about and throw away. I'd probably have about 25% more if I saved all of them. Also, some I don't deem worthy, like if I get a sixer of something and it just sucks, it doesn't belong on the wall
I have 4000+ caps and believe me, I'm not proud of all of them. Cool Colt has touched my lips and tongue as a sacrifice. For Christ's sake - Cool Colt!
I've got some stored away in my cabinet where I store my homebrewing things. I plan on getting some fishing stringers and string them up on my wall.
