That's a bit of a wildcard. I'm sure some of these towns could be considered suburbs. (The resort towns throw a whole other dimension as well)

I don't see Central Waters here...maybe I've missed. A very small town, Amherst, WI.
I've spend my fair share of time there over the last many decades. The town couldn't
exceed 1000, but I'm not checking. Small is small (and the relation: good=small, in some ways).

Brugge Brasserie in the heart of Broad Ripple down the street from Butler University (just east of Indianapolis). it's a nice little Belgian themed brewpub that we've frequented at least 50 times over the years. great sours like their blackberry Harvey, boysenberry Pooka, Veta made with Italian plums and an incredible Tripel. the only downfall is they don't do growlers and they only bottled for maybe a year a few years back. i heard they're expanding production so hopefully bottles will be back in the near future

I'm waaaay too lazy to look up the populations, but here are a few from WA: Birdsview Brewing, Concrete (yes, we have a town named Concrete, don't judge); Old Schoolhouse, Winthrop; Elkhead, Buckley; Horse Heaven Hills; Prosser; Rocky Coulee, Odessa; Roslyn Brewing, Roslyn; Methow Valley Brewing, Twisp (yes, we have a town named Twisp, don't judge); and Alpine in Oroville. Yeah, not all of Washington is Everett-Seattle-Tacoma. We gots the rurals.

These guys used to be located in Iowa City and had quality control issues. I can only hope they've improved since then...

I really like stuff from Alpine and Kern River. Though they're both close to large metropolitan cities, they are located in small towns.

2 to list that I like: elm city brewery (keene, nh), they have an 18 mile IPA which is nice and hoppy, and today just went to greenport harbor brewery (greenport, ny) that has a great pumpkin ale, leaf pile.

I really love nice small breweries in small towns, but Brevard, N.C. comes to mind as a small town with a bigger brewery- Oscar Blues. Soon to follow, Mills River with Sierra Nevada. Mother Earth in Kinston and Duck Rabbit in Farmville are notable. There are many more.

Endless Brewing is a little place at the bottom of my road, 5 minutes from my house, and they make some good stuff. They've earned prizes at a few local beer festivals.
But my favorite small town brewery would be The North Brewery in Endicott NY. Depends on what your definition of "small town" is...the triple cities area is about 250,000 people in total over an area of 5-6 towns mashed together.
