Just never see it fresh, if I can find the damn date on the bottle at all. Still love those guys!

That should (hopefully) be another problem solved when they start canning.

Wait......what?? Lagunitas is going to start canning? Seriously or a joke? This brewery contiunes to amaze me, and not in a good way. I just don't buy their beers anymore because their owner seems to be a jackass.

I would welcome Sucks and any other Lagunitas labels in cans.

I remember the last time I had sucks fresh almost a year ago. Since the started making it year round it just sits and takes the irony out of the "sucks" name.

    >Lagunitas releases Sucks year-round in 32oz. bombers

    >People say they would buy Sucks year-round if it was always available in 6'ers

Of beer sold in bottles big enough, sucks is the only one good enough to play "Edward 40 hands". (even though it's only 36!)

Despite the protests of a number of BAs.

I have no way of knowing how the broader craft beer consumers felt on this matter but there is a possibility that there may be some consumer 'blow back' here?

    Cheers!

I gave up trying to read Lag's bottle dating. I will only buy their seasonal beers when I know they are fresh. Are you listening Lag?

Lagunitas was way ahead of the market with sucks. No (or at most, very few) breweries had something that compared to that incredibly juicy, citrus burst. But with the large variety of Citra beers now being sold, and the promiscuous nature of beer fans, they sort of fell to the wayside.

I've bought maybe 3 32oz bombers of it (last time was a while back though - I'm living in Poland now) after buying a few of the seasonal-era 6ers. Once had a freshness issue, but it was at a bottle shop I knew often puts up old beers and I just didn't stop to check. Still a remarkable beer. It makes me sad I can't get any of there stuff here, yet. I'd love to have tried Waldo's

That's such a joke. I thought they were going to be the "last brewery ever" to can.

I have not bought any Lagunitas stuff in 2 years and I'll contiune not to buy their stuff because they continue to be asses. My opinion.

Sucks to me was and is good, but new things have changed my palate to liking other things better.

I absolutely agree. I love a lot of their beers but I get tired of trying to see the damn bottle date on the bottle in the store. Unfortunately most of what I find from them here is old unless it's a seasonal.

Sucks used to be one of my favorite beers but like a lot of others here, it just doesn't taste the same to me any more.

I would buy Sucks on a regular basis - I love it, but..................the last 3 or 4 times I got it, it was old and nearly undrinkable. As a result, I have not purchased any Sucks in nearly a year. This is truly a case where poor to no bottle dating costing a brewer sales.

Finally found a fresh batch today 124 6, plenty tropical citrusy goodness! Had a bit of earthy undertones that I didn't remember previously...been so damn long since I found it fresh can hardly remember the subtleties. Now cans with an easy to read canning date on can bottom...I'm in (if fresh).

Those 32 ounce bombers seemed to kill all the momentum Sucks had. Also, in New York it seemed to disappear. The invisible bottle on dates was the last straw for me. I refuse to buy Lagunitas any more, if they don't care enough to print bottled on dates visible to the human eye I don't care enough to buy their beer.
