I liked it but it wasn't.......exciting. It could have been one of any number of pale ales.

Yea I echo @dbresson and wouldnt call it NE Style. Ive had 6 packs that are clear as can be and then another where every can was real hazy and a little "juicier" (god I hate that term). To me honestly it tastes like a "softer" snaggletooth if you are familiar with that beer. Its a very good beer and I would recommend it to anyone but wouldn't say its NE Style.

Yeah, I thought End All was excellent, and I actually liked it a lot more than Snaggle, which I think was already a good beer.

you guys, my six pack of End All is legit horrible. Like drain pour a whole six pack horrible. Smells and tastes like nail polish remover/paint thinner.

Oh no...oh god no. That suuuucks. Something way wrong with that. I would be pissed. I feel partially responsible since i was speaking so highly of the beer. It is good though. I swear

Hey don't feel responsible at all. I am pretty sure something is real fucked with the six pack I picked up. Cracked a few more cans and each one was the same.

Might want to shoot a message to the brewery with the picture you took and inform them about your situation. Im sure this isn’t going to be a one off instance and other people who bought those cans are going to have a bad experience as well.

Grabbed a can in a mix 6 and mine was also dirty toilet water. Clearly a shitty canning job where oxidation took place.

Like @Elldawg13 said, send a message to them (I'd use their twitter, they're very responsive over there) and let them know. That really stinks. I had it on tap at the brewery and it tasted great.

So I grabbed a can of End All from a mix six and it looks like beef broth and has HUGE chunks of sediment. It tastes........ok? But yeah. I dunno.

I had it yesterday at the tap room and it was pretty solid. The taproom was pretty busy and the patio was open.

Hey guys, always get in touch with us if you have any concerns about the beer quality. We'll of course replace beer if there are any issues. Sorry to hear that those cans aren't up to spec, they clearly have something going on.

Looks like they're giving away old faithorn glasses tonight when you buy a pour.

Also the white van beer they're releasing tomorrow sounds tasty. Too bad I'm busy this weekend.

Now to convince my wife that Solemn Oath for the third Friday in a row is a good idea. Really am interested in what the new tweaked Faithorn will taste like though. I drank a ton of the stuff last summer.

Man, I haven't been able to make it over schedule-wise since before the last OO release - bummed about not trying out some of these new beers. Gonna try real hard to make it work this weekend. Anyone have a verdict on White Van yet?

I like White Van. it has loads of flavor, and is under 5% so I can have a few. I think it will be a great summer beer if it's around.

Judging by labels and previously announced dates, one or both of the Full Mallow Jacket beers will be the Q2 Old Order beers. Add Combat Marshmallow, 83, and Country Green, and it should be quite a release party on April 14th.

Yeah, looks like there's a lot heading out way in the coming weeks/month. I think i'll swing by the tap room about noon today. I was in Utah all week, and I need a good beer on tap! The 4% law is bogus. Haha.

I was in there Sat afternoon. So much good beer on tap, although was bummed that apparently the keg of Sinus kicked on Friday, so that was only in cans. But was surprised to see that Hosies was still on tap, though they don't show it on the board (it's in the menu, though). Hosies and Pain Cave make for a fine 1,2 punch. White Van tasty. And today would be such a great day for the patio.

Can someone refresh my memory how the tickets were last year? All I can remember after going was thinking it was much too expensive for what you got (1 glass and a beer if I remember right?) and probably wouldn't go again this year if they did that again. This looks like they made it much cheaper. Can anyone confirm?

Also, I dig the Facebook diss at the end of the article.

I am pretty sure it was ~$50 with just 1 beer and no glass. (at least i never got a glass). Was a little much for what you got, but I still would go anyway because I love supporting Solemn Oath.

But yea having three options is a big deal and a huge improvement. Ill still probably buy the $50 option because it comes with a glass, your first 3 beers, and unlimited Lu throughout the day. Huge improvement. Pretty pumped for it after all of that info came out today.

Yeah it was just under $50 after surcharges for ONE beer. Note that the price of the beers went up. They’ve always been $5, up to $6.50 now. But , this is by far a better return on your purchase unlike last year.

  32. dbresson

Ok, so I went back and read last year's article, plus looked at my receipts I paid. So yeah, if you are OO, it was $45 with one beer, $50 if not OO. I think the included glass thing I was thinking of was Oktoberfest with the mugs (also glass with OO membership).

As ChangSing said, additional beers were $5 last year, $6.50 this year.

If they didn't change something I was going to pass this year because too much $$. Also, it was all the same old beers if you had been to most of the release parties already, no new releases.

That said I think I'll be in this year, because I like the $35 price point with 3 beers wristband style, much like their release parties (those are what, $20,25?). I wouldn't mind the glass at $50, and would prob buy ala carte (although I don't have room for it in the cabinet), but someone would have to pay ME to drink Lu. Just not my bag.
Also, I've had to miss a lot of the release parties this year so far due to scheduling conflicts, so even if there's no new release again at the fest and they just bring out the old again, I'll probably enjoy it more because I missed so much.

Also, I expect for OO those prices to maybe even be a little cheaper, when the OO email is sent out.

Overall, much better deal as everyone has said. I like the improvement.

the wristbands are $21 for 3 beers at the releases. I'm glad the addressed the pricing issue from the last two years (last year in particular). I pretty much decided that the only way I would go again is if something changed (I liked the Oktoberfest thing they did).

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who can't stand Lu! I'd rather drink miller lite:slight_smile:

Yeah this is a big step up from last year. I'll probably get the glass and Lu. I prefer Lu to old faithorn, but Fun Sponge was definitely their killer sessionble can imo.

So, anybody get their Oath Day Tix already? I got a SOB Style for myself (wanted the glass) and an extra wristband style. Psyched. Someone else can drink my Lu though.

I haven’t yet. I kinda want to skip the $50 but in the end between uber, stopping at Naperville someone I’m dropping $125 that day..is $110 rally saving me anything?

I havent seen a pic or anything but trust that the artwork will be cool. They have some of my favorite label art. They are right there with Half Acre for me when it comes to their labels and overall aesthetic.
