While I don't have a direct answer for you, I would assume there will not be many bottles left over. I have heard anywhere from 250 - 144 bottles are left after the Sour Fest that Upland held, and if those are all up for lottery I have a hard time believing that more than 25-30 will be left over. During the last Upland lambic pickup I personally went to (Gilgamesh), the amount of people who didn't pick up was less than 25%, and with this being Sour Reserve with a better pedigree and much higher desirability I can't imagine those lucky winners will let their bottles go unclaimed.

OK, so I misunderstood. But it's interesting that you've never had to do that. Goes against their stated rules and common sense.

Not to mention that they take 18-24 months to produce. We won't see an increase in the number of bottles for a couple of years.

I am a bit upset and disheartened with Upland after the last release. I was talking with a manager named Charles via email and then he just went silent. I requested my pick up location to be moved and asked if I could just wait till the persimmons was ready. Never got a response after going back and forth. I called him and left 2 messages with no response. Sorry but that is some pretty bad customer service. Then a week later I get a email saying all my beers are ready for PU. I email Charles again and still no response.

That is surprising since Upland normally has superb customer service. Perhaps he went on vacation?

Me, too. I'll be in Michigan and Chicago during the pick-up period. Here's hoping I detour to Indy...

So, I'm assuming my lack of email notification means I didn't win.

    Rats!

From the OP "On June 15th, an email will be sent to everyone who entered the lottery informing them as to whether or not they have won the opportunity to purchase a bottle"

I haven't got one either way yet, so I'm hoping I still have a shot.

This is language from the confirmation email

So to me it sounds like everyone will eventually get an email one way or the other.
