Just putting this out there as a PSA before the ISO:FT forum completely blows up, in case you weren't all following the threads in the Great Lakes and "Beer Releases" forums. From the Chicago Tribune's article today:

The Ohio drop was a mistake given the arcane 12% ABV cap.

At any rate, just figured I would post this here so everyone knows if/approximately when their state should start seeing bottles.

Just got put on the list for some in the hopes it comes here.

    *crosses fingers*

I'm guessing we won't. We get all the regular line up stuff, Honker's, Summertime, 312, Harvest but none of thier more limited stuff.

I will be taking the day off of working and visiting multiple stores, following truck and beating down old laides in a parking lot. 2 out of 3 are false. Which one is it! The answer may suprise you!

I just want to put this whole "Keg Only" thing to rest right here and now. The past 2 months, BCBS kegs have been making their way into many of the states listed above, most have been tapped, while others are still being held onto, mostly by drinking establishments, for their own purposes. The list above is for BOTTLE DISTRIBUTION, and all those states will see some bottles delivered. Amount and volume, I'm not sure of, but none of those states listed are denoted as "Keg Only."

Can't wait for this to hit CO. I have yet to try BCBS.

like I said in my post I can't speak for other states, but when our local distributor says it is supposed to be keg only and my city is to be allocated only 1...
trust me, I hope they were misinformed - or misinforming us - and we get bottles here!

I'm pretty sure that same distributor handles DC and VA, and DC gets the Three Sisters, etc. and got BCBS last year, albeit in short supply. I'd bet that at least NoVA gets BCBS in bottles this year.

EDIT: I didn't think about the obvious ramifications of the AB takeover. We'll see what happens.

DC and NoVA may have the same dist but not the rest of the state (15 different licensed distributors in VA each with their own little exclusive corner)

I read on BA that GI is going national in November. So no BCS but I'll be very happy to drink their standard lineup. All of I've had were very solid brews.

ISO: someone complaining about the InBev takeover on principle who won't take buy any BCBS in the 31-32 states that will get it. The whitest of whales.

That doesn't mean we'll be able to actually buy it. I live in NoVA and usually strike out on the limited releases. Even with both VA and DC to work with I've not scored any limited releases in quite a long time. I'll try like always but I'm not getting my hopes up. Maybe if I didn't have to work every day I could score these beers.

I feel like I should put out an ISO for BCBS to be cool. If anyone wants to join, let me know. I'm thinking 10 4-packs for a BlÄbaer or 12 4-packs for Bourbon Vanilla DL. Then, I can be a true Beer Advocate!
