Just putting this out there as a PSA before the ISO:FT forum completely blows up, in case you weren't all following the threads in the Great Lakes and "Beer Releases" forums. From the Chicago Tribune's article today:

The Ohio drop was a mistake given the arcane 12% ABV cap.

At any rate, just figured I would post this here so everyone knows if/approximately when their state should start seeing bottles.

    Cheers!

MA is the ONLY Northeastern state not receiving it? Did I miss a memo?

While it says Virginia I am not getting my hopes up that it will make its way this far down. Stupid NOVA.

Just got put on the list for some in the hopes it comes here.

    *crosses fingers*

I'm guessing we won't. We get all the regular line up stuff, Honker's, Summertime, 312, Harvest but none of thier more limited stuff.

I will be taking the day off of working and visiting multiple stores, following truck and beating down old laides in a parking lot. 2 out of 3 are false. Which one is it! The answer may suprise you!

    Cheers!

Also, can I come here to complain about the pre-trades?

    What, too soon?

(kidding, pre-trade away as surely no one would be dumb enough to ship first when then other beer isn't in hand, amirite?)

Well now that there are no comments allowed in the trading forum, I'm not so sure..:D I kid, I kid...

On one hand I feel sorry for Florida, on the other hand, maybe I finally see some CCB in my future!;)

I just want to put this whole "Keg Only" thing to rest right here and now. The past 2 months, BCBS kegs have been making their way into many of the states listed above, most have been tapped, while others are still being held onto, mostly by drinking establishments, for their own purposes. The list above is for BOTTLE DISTRIBUTION, and all those states will see some bottles delivered. Amount and volume, I'm not sure of, but none of those states listed are denoted as "Keg Only."

ISO: BCBS KEG FT: My cellar and Xbox when I croak half way through, my wife and kid too if you want them.

Can't wait for this to hit CO. I have yet to try BCBS.

This may only work on someone who isn't already married. I know that anyone who already has a wife sure as hell wouldn't want any more
*disclaimer* my wife is awesome, but 1 is enough!

like I said in my post I can't speak for other states, but when our local distributor says it is supposed to be keg only and my city is to be allocated only 1...
trust me, I hope they were misinformed - or misinforming us - and we get bottles here!

It says Idaho, but I'm not holding my breath that I'll be able to waltz into my beer shop and snag a 4-pack. Heres hoping though...

Same for Montana. We see select GI stuff, but we don't get that. [cue: Meatloaf song..."I'll do anything for {Goose Island} but I won't do...]

I'm pretty sure that same distributor handles DC and VA, and DC gets the Three Sisters, etc. and got BCBS last year, albeit in short supply. I'd bet that at least NoVA gets BCBS in bottles this year.

EDIT: I didn't think about the obvious ramifications of the AB takeover. We'll see what happens.

Wow. My best friend and hb partner Paul is psyched, it is his favorite beer. Even I am psyched, as I finally got an appreciation for it this past release.

DC and NoVA may have the same dist but not the rest of the state (15 different licensed distributors in VA each with their own little exclusive corner)

Not sure why its taking 2 full months longer for it to get to MN than VA, but hey, still glad we are getting some.

I read on BA that GI is going national in November. So no BCS but I'll be very happy to drink their standard lineup. All of I've had were very solid brews.

I just confirmed tonight that we are getting BCS, and along with that their other limited offerings are coming down the pipe. I'm about as happy as a clam.
