Staying in San Mateo for 3 months

    It probably depends on how old you are and how many times you were told as a kid (from San Jose) that you should never call it those things.

    +1 on Harry's Hofbrau . . . they often have the best taplist on the Peninsula. I also don't think I've ever been to Rose and Crown in Palo Alto when they didn't have Pliny, if that's something you're looking for. (They also have the Younger most years, kind of an under-the-radar location.)

    If you want English style and cask beer, you could try Freewheel in Redwood City. I haven't had the food, but I have enjoyed the beer.

    If you go to the City, you must go to Cellarmaker. My favorite brewery in the area.

    oh thats great, we should link up some time, im stationed at the SMMC every once and a while. i work for san mateo county. nex time im there ill send ya a mesg. fieldwork is super close to there
