Maybe they've selected a site for their East Coast Brewery?

Not that they couldn't sell it out, but has Stone ever bottled a beer that anybody on BA would consider worth the admission to a club?

Mikhail's Odd would probably qualify (and it wasn't TOO hard to get, just harder than almost every other beer they've bottled), BA Ken Schmidt Kona Cocout Whatever Else Was In it Porter, and Stonewall Ale if you dig back into the archives. I could probably think of a couple more if I really tried, but almost everything they bottle is easy enough to get if you live near a Stone store (which is most of So Cal now) and I doubt they would want to deal with the legality of shipping.

East Coast brewery or sour program are the most likely candidates, but I'm not sure how much I'd be excited about a sour program from Stone. They've brewed a few one-off sours for festivals over the years and I'm not remembering any of them being particularly good, but perhaps I'm forgetting something?

Considering the picture in the email, it seems that whatever it is will be sold in 750mL bottles. Sours would make sense.

Of course, the announcement could just be that they'll be releasing beers in 750mL bottles now...

Haha. Now THAT would be a let down.

Maybe expanding globally? Would be smart to open a brewery in another country.
