I assume, they're saying 'drink it within a month' and considering 4 days for shipping.
I picked up 2 from the Firkins today, $9.99 each, limit 4 22oz's. I see Lake Wine and Spirits just got it in as well, limit 1.
drinking 1 right now bottled on 04/12 $9.99 @ Lake wine
I picked up 2 from 4 Firkins, 3 from Big Top, 5 from Marshall and 1 from Ale Jail
I just picked up a case at a unnamed store because i could @mnbearsfan, That's how u need to roll on BA silly rabbit.
stuff is tasty.
That a boy
Also, I came here to say that it has not reached Surdyks or Haskels yet. Next week...
$20 bottles at surdicks.
They're not my go-to usually, but they're close to where I work... Isn't that what people say about mistresses?
Just picked up one at SAV for $9.49; one bottle limit. There were two or three left in the back of the cooler.
So...I must say. This beer is unquestionably delicious, but we all sprinted to buy this gimmicky (it is a gimmick regardless of whether or not it's any good), $11 bomber. I'm glad I got to try it, but if it comes back, I think I'll just be happy I can get a 4 pack of Myrcenary for the same price any time I want.
South Lyndale, 1 per customer. $9.99, great IPA.
It's a great idea from both a quality and revenue standpoint, a super fresh IPA that is great and sells fast. It also gives attention to the stale IPA issue and gives Stone a bit more notoriety. I'm not gonna buy every release, but I am glad to have it here.
I guess my point of dropping 120 bucks on an IPA when I could drop the same on roughly 10 to 12 4 packs of Mycenary or Double Illumination just seemed to make more sense. Just my two cents. I have spent more than my fair share on bombers when it would have been a better value to buy CW BBS or something like that
I did buy one and it is quite good, so I do understand
Apparently Red Cow in Linden Hills will have it too, great burger and beer spot. Go hungry though.
Kidding about Surdyks right? $20?
sarcasm, but I wouldn't put it past them...
9.99 at heritage, really tasty
It's good, but way too much $ for a 22 oz bomber.
I picked up 4 - one for me, and 3 for extras on trades I have in progress.
I'm sure they'll appreciate it.
Already enjoyed mine!
I'll only drink it again on tap.
agreed, might get one more, just because... well I love a hop assault, hopefully double trouble hits soon.
Is this 9.99 everywhere? I expected 7.99.
Double Trouble hits tomorrow at my local shop - YES!
Dropped around a hundo on eleven bottles of one beer? Had you tried this prior to this buy?
I probably dont total that much spent on beer in four months, so Im more-so just jealous of your discretionary income.
Can't wait! Taking one to the dome tonight!
In all honesty I only picked up 1 bottle. It was really good, but at $10.00 for 22.oz I cannot really justify the price based on my "beer allowance." Like others have said I will be heading out to try this on tap, and there are a few other options on the horizon like Double Trouble etc.
Couldn't agree more.
Oh, Hellz ya. This "$10 DIPA Bomber" shit is getting out of control. Makes abrasive even look like a bargain.
With that said, I'm in for a bomber!
Having a limited beer budget really makes you take pause and think of what is the highest quality(and to an extent, quantity) for the lowest price.
As others have noted, buy one bomber of Stone, or get a 4pk of Illumination for the same price, have twice as much beer, and its a smaller serving size.
It's in stock at Princeton's, I bought my two, seem to be plenty to go around.
What exactly about your statement made it sarcastic? Seemed more along the lines of libel.
Not when thy routinely do it...
"Libel"? Puh-leaze. With Surdyk's regular over-pricing (Oooh! Call the lawyers, more libel!!) and the clearly expressed disdain that the owner expressed a year and a half ago for craft beer drinkers, they deserve the well-deserved scorn that they have so richly earned.
So are you trying to slander a good BA with your claims of libel?
"Plenty,"as in: if you haul ass up there now you may get a bottle. Or "plenty," as in there may be some still there on Friday night or even Saturday?
Aww good ol surdyks, home to the $40 darkness bottle.
Bill thinks it'll still be there this evening. No comment past that.
I just finished celebrating the fact that it's Thursday with a six day old bomber of Enjoy By 5.17.13. It was delicious! I likely won't buy more due to the price but I'm happy to have had it once.
Now that's sarcastic!
