Right if you wouldn't drink it then don't give it to your kids!
I once knew several Brazilians that would mix orange Fanta and beer.
Drinking prarie bombs at 6-8 am first thing in the morning. Seriously weird.
I don't normally do anything to my beer because I drink beer that I enjoy the taste of. truly, the beer alone is usually enough for me but I have been craving a good black and tan lately. I'd like to combine young's double chocolate with well's banana bread beer, a banana chocolate delight
coffee in the morning hits the spot but coffee beers are a close second...one this heavy might not be the best idea though
Coffee Gets you In gear.
a barrel aged high Alcohol bomb is not that. It's kind of comical.
But you're not doing anything to the beer or at least not altering it in any way, so your post is irrelevant. Let's stay on topic here, guys
Damnit, I have the ability to this...and I just might.
One of the locals in my town drinks 3 or 4 labatt blue's every day with a pepper shaker heavily used on each pour.
You all know that a beer with clam juice is a michelada, right?
I've seen a guy put salt in his Busch lite- pretty weird for a couple of reasons.
I dont' know about "strange" but I almost cut a guy in college... I was at a party and waited a long time in line for a keg beer, and upon receiving it finalllllly, had some bonehead walk up and pour some crappy tomato juice mixture in my beer. I'm pretty sure I dumped it down the drain and left the party.
Last Friday I was at a seafood joint on the water and was watching a guy dip his buffalo wings in his Stone IPA
weirdest/best I've seen/tasted was a buddy drilled a hole in a coconut; added vanilla bean paste, coco nibs, cinnamon sticks, and toasted coconut flakes then added a bottle of BCBS before plugging the whole thing up and letting it sit in the fridge for a day. Tasted heavenly, and after we busted the coconut open and the flesh was taste too!
Sounds like a plan.
I don't think it to be so strange, but my Grand Dad used to always have Bud and tomato juice with breakfast.
Don't knock it!
Banana Juice or Mango Juice in a Hefe is awesome at brunch
I really think we can just end the thread with this one as the blue ribbon winner. Just mentioning Piels with any addition pretty much takes it home! Haven't seen this horrible bottom shelf dwelling brew since early 90's.
Ear wax works better to kill the head. In college when the keg would foam your solo cup up too much, more experienced beer pros knew to you stick your finger in your ear then stick it in the head to reduce it quickly. Works like a charm. Not exactly a smooth move to impress the ladies at the party though.
Add ice......Or add salt
If it's Heady Topper they are absolutely right.
Had a guest at a party ask for salt for her beer.
Brass Monkeys are titties.
No it isn't.
Had a friend who used to pour a shots of Grand Marnier into a pints of Blue Moon. No BS, I used to try to get him to drink an IPA, he would not.
A drink called a pickleback. Shot of pickle juice and a PBR. Tried it..and it was really good actually haha
Pour some out for the homies
As a beer can collector I had friends who would only collect what they drank. I once saw my friend chugg a 30+ year old can. When asked how it was his response was "lumpy"
I ran Black Butte through beef jerky in a Randall at a bar I manage. It didn't go well.
Door County Corona:
PBR Light + Lime + Salt
Do we know each other? I do all of these things on the occasion.
I had a friend pour Jim Beam in his Bud Heavy.
ok this is going to sound odd....but don't knock it till you try it....WATERMELON
Works the best with sours, IPA, and Pale ales....its a tasty treat at the end... it impacts the flavor
of the beer slightly....but man does the watermelon soak up some good flavors haha I love it....cheers
Try it on a day off. A good coffee stout on a Saturday morning when you have nothing else to do is quite a treat.
I'm sure it is. Just with us being beer aficionados and all it strikes me as odd that day after day the first page the wbaydn thread is barrel aged imerial stout followed by barrel aged imperial stout. You would think more lagers and things of that nature would start the day like in old world tradition. Guess me 'Mericans are a little different.
I worked with a Russian guy who turned me onto this. Put ice in a glass, then do half vodka/half beer. He called it a "Hammer and Nail." An apt name seeing as the vodka conjures up the Russian hammer and sickle and it essentially is the last nail in the coffin for the night. I used it as an anesthetic when I severely sprained my ankle one year.
While I understand it's traditional in some sense to add flavored syrups to a glass of a Berliner Weisse, I still find that super strange. That and ice in beer, just... why?
He was waiting for that one special moment.
* Shudder *
My father would put salt and pepper in his Bass Ale.
I kmow- at least use Appleton, right?
