These studies often come out but all pretty much say moderate consumption is good when coinciding with a healthy diet and active lifestyle. I'm not so sure all the obese neck-beards I see at beer events got the memo.

Also, I doubt the scientists ever think of "beer" as 400 calorie 12oz bottles of BCBS either.

Yep, every time this topic comes up I think the same thing. I drink in moderation, but most of the time a drinking session includes at least 3 or 4 beers. I calculate one beer at the equivalent of a 5% abv beer. So if I drank a 12 ounce bottle of Victory at Sea (10 % abv), that would be two beers.
