Man I am absolutely going to have to track these down. Great to hear Suarez is producing delicious beer! Might be worth the 6 hour drive up sometime.

It is because you could easily also hit Hudson Valley, Newburgh, Bacchus, Sloop and some others in that area of NY without having to deviate too far from 87, which is the main road from NYC to Albany.

Only ever been as far up that way as Captain Lawrence, but the scenery there was stunning. I imagine I'd be in for a treat.

Sloop is literally 5 minutes drive from Suarez.

Depending on how you go, Peekskill/Industrial Arts/Decadence could be right on the way too. No shortage of options in that corridor.

Hopefully more bottle shops get on Dan's self distro list for their next Manhattan drop. I was kinda surprised they chose some of the places they did, especially the day before a blizzard. Talked to a few people who said Forager's had no idea what was going on. Didn't get them into their system for nearly 3 hours and then got hit with the rush of shoppers loading up on food.

As per Dan's words, this was his "pilot" bottle run. Give it some time. Good things take time .

Slow Bustle, 100ft North, Summer Whoa (very limited amount), Call to Mind and Big Night.

Sounds like it was a pilot run to test the waters

I didn't get any :slight_frown:. When I saw the line in the evening there was no way I was going in.

Someone said BTP was charging $27, but I guess that's not surprising considering their M.O.

Foragers in Manhattan had 100 Ft. North and Slow Bustle. $18 per. They're gone now, though. Apparently someone came in and bought half their allotment.

Would have loved to cop a Summer Whoa. Any ideas where those went?

Ended up making an unplanned trip up there yesterday for the first time. Got there around opening- was greeted by the owners and their dog. Very chill space; all beers were delicious- what I appreciate about Suarez is that they focus on beers that I don't generally drink (pilsners, lagers, etc) but they do them so well. They still had all 5 bottlers, though they are nearly out of Summer Whoa.

Nice place, nice people...very, very good beer.

Ive got a nice Suarez line up for this weekend including: Slow Bustle, Sumer Whoa, and 100ft North. Looking to see what this brewery is all about.

Finally had the chance to visit this past Saturday.

Nice space - full of people on a dreary day. Lovely light coming in because of the windows. Bottles available but since I had tried all the beers already I didn't come back with one, did purchase a stemmed glass. Like the concept of ordering the beer and then having my name called to pick it up when it 'settled'. I worry that if they really take off and it's even more crowded, the single POS and waiting for beer may annoy some folks.

100 Ft. North was the best thing I tried on tap (had the bottle previously about a month ago) really lovely. Look forward to going back one day.

Visited Fool's Gold on Sunday for some TH/Suarez but ended up just drinking Suarez beers because they're so damn good. Look No Further is all you can want in a pale ale: light-bodied, mellow feel on the palate but still rich in hop flavor. I kept tasting cantaloupe and watermelon, which for me are sort of the holy grail of flavors in a PA or IPA.

Last night I had Slow Bustle at As Is from a bottle and that beer is just killer. Clean tartness and a dry quality but it still has a delicious residual flavor of floral, sweet honey. Loved it.

I believe my Saturday will likely involve a drive north rather than a drive to BK, although the saison event at Threes is highly tempting.
