    That's Super... Awesome?

Honestly lagers are hard to get excited for until you actually try it and details are approximately none in a TABC filing besides the ABV and style.

Nope, just not enough information to get excited about it yet. Other than a name and a style, we know nothing (although apparently they'll be serving it at the open house on Friday, so maybe we'll know more then)

Well, I'm pretty excited about having a local Helles lager available. I'm sure it will sell super fast.
Now if Live Oak will get off their ass and brew one....

    Style: Helles Lager
    Malt: Pils, Acidulated
    Hops: Tettnang
    Yeast: Weihenstephan Lager
    IBU: 8
    ABV: 4.5%

We know light lagers don't get much love on this site, but we love them. They're very time consuming to make and very difficult to make well. We cold conditioned this beer for 6 weeks. It's squeaky clean and we're very happy with the results. We hope you like it, too.

If not, we'll have whiskey barrel aged Sputnik for you soon enough.

    Yep. Pretty stoked.

I don't care about the BA Sputnik nearly as much as the lager.

I look forward to trying anything from ABW. Their Pils is as good as Stoudts. Both of those being two of my favorite lagers. No reason to think this won't be any different. COME BACK TO HOUSTON PLEASE:grinning:

I'm looking forward to the Helles being released. ABW does lagers really well and I think the style will kill in the Texas heat. Keep on keepin on ABW!

Helles Lager, please yes. It takes balls to release a beer like this. A beer that with type of subtlety - any off flavors will be immediately apparent.

As an aside - FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST RELEASE EINHORN IN CANS.

I don't usually care for lagers, but this stuff is pretty tasty and refreshing for the warm weather. Good stuff! And if the Einhorn was in cans I'd be all over it!

Why don't they do generic cans with slapped on labels? I know I've seen a few canning breweries do this in the past for weird batches.
