Woke up this morning lacking any semblance of it. I was sore. I was tired. I was pissed. I was irritable to my wife and son.

You see, I woke up yesterday at 520, left my house with Jesse at 625 or so, drove in shit weather slightly hungover, stood outside in the cold and rainy weather and for 4 hours drank beer and let the realization that Jesse and I were leaving empty handed slowly ruin the time. Met some good folks, drank good beer, had a lot of laughs...but allowed everything to be tainted by not getting beers.

Drove home slightly pissed then rushed to get packed to go to the football game. Did not spend any time with my son bc I didn't want to be late for the tailgate. Went to game with good friends, complained to everyone about the Monstro release, froze my ass off, and then went to a game that felt like a perfect end to a shitty day in watching my team blow a 2 TD lead for the third time this season. I bitched and acted poorly. I showed very little loyalty to my team. I whined. I passed out.

Cut to this AM. I was annoyed at my son for stealing my extra hour from daylights savings time. I was annoyed at my wife for making me be the one to get up and feed him. From 630 until 9 I pretty much sulked about my lack of sleep, my lack of Monstro, my lack of a bowl eligible team, and blah blah blah. At 9:02, my son fell and hit his face on the corner of a coffee table, missing a direct corner strike on his right eye by just millimeters. I can honestly say I have had less than zero thoughts about Monstro, gamecock football, my being tired, hungover, sore, sick, etc. I really can't get the image or sound of the thud when he hit the table.

You see, I like beer (that should suffice eh @blue-dream dream?). But I love so many things more than beer. Little man is a wild man unaffected by tomorrow's shiner (notice the cut just above his right eye).

Why do I tell you all this? Maybe to get it off my chest (ding ding ding!), maybe because I really dig this group of ne'erdowells, maybe because

Second, submit guesses as to the due date (no time); closest without going over wins, because if my wife found out I rewarded someone that suggested she should be pregnant longer than she has to be, she’d kill me. Same cutoff as above.

Third, submit guesses as to the actual delivery date and time; again closest without going over wins. Again, same cutoff. Clearly this one will be a long time until payoff, so I’ll keep a spreadsheet of guesses.

For those of you that participate in both The Locals and SWTFYW threads, feel free to enter guesses on both threads; with that said, this LIF is open only those who have participated in a current or previous BIF in this thread.

Oh it was brought sir! Amazing night handing out with @blue-dream , @richardflyr , @TastyDelicousness & Karl. Got to meesome phenomenal people from the thread, share a few laughs (many actually) few pints and some food. Can't say how much this thread is like a family. Beer was exchanged, expected and unexpectedly ( got your ass Richard lol) Timmy yellin in the bar every time Andrew Luck threw for a touchdown, me yelling out to people on the balcony lines from Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back as Justin laughing his ass off....what a blast. And the topper Not Your Father's Root Beer 20% off tap....TASTY! (<== Mortall Kombat voice.)

Again so glad I was able to meet 3 great people from the thread tonight, and with more hands to be shook going forward in the future. Beer isn't about what I had to drink, have for trade or what's in your cellar...its bout the good people you come across in your life and and hope you can become a better person because of it, and vice versa!

Hope the next time you make it to the land we call Chi you hit us up. @end_27 always a blast to meet you out for a few beers. And then there is this guy @blue-dream ....Fellas of this thread, I have met the man, I have seen him, I have shook his hand. I can tell you this, he is a true SWTFYW'er. This man for reasons I cannot disclose publicly is truly a part of this thread. This man, he is honestly a blessing to all of us.
