I have to get up very early in the morning, so if things drop I sometimes get lucky and can buy a few bottles. Most of the 750s are limited amounts and disappear quickly, but I was able to buy most of those over a 4 month period. When I asked him to fill up the boxes to the ideal shipping weight, he offered up some nice 750s that never made it up on his site.

Forgot to mention, when I'm ready to buy bottles I check his site every morning. You never know when things drop. Also knowing when new bottles come available at the breweries is helpful.

 

Does your wife approve or participate in said acronym??

 

That Galaxy Dry Hop is the truth man! I said the dark lord 2010 was the highlight of Saturday night but the Galaxy Dry Hop was pretty damn amazing! @ColdOne sent me a bunch of beers I had not heard of and they all have really opened my eyes that just because I don't know it doesn't mean it isn't amazing stuff! Thanks again man, you didn't have to do that!

I havent had the Athena from Creature Comforts, but I hear it's great. I'm gonna buy a case of Coco Buni when it gets canned.. it's unreal for folks who love chocolate and coconut!

 

Can you make me a spreadsheet, and a send personal alerts for me....

One more day in ATL... I'll look out for the Athena.

Yeah well I just packed a box of 8 bombers for 1 vanilla rye and I feel bad that I did not include any extras. I don't have any of our local IPA's on hand and didn't want to buy any as I am expecting some boxes this week and next and didn't want to have them sitting around...seriously, should I feel bad not including extras on this trade? I did give the guy a heads up since my feedback states a lot of "great extras" so he wasn't shocked when he opened the box.

 

I'll pen that one down in my memory bank.....

Koko Buni (at least I think that's what the growler tag said... may have been "Coco") was excellent. When that gets canned I will buy it. I've been looking for a good porter, and that would be the best one out there, blowing Black Butte and Edmund Fitz out of the water, fwiw.

The new Transmigration of Souls was good (can't compare to the old). Probably the best IPA I've had from the southeast with the exception of the Cycle Rickshaw that @ThreeFishes sent me. It's not something I'll keep around all the time, but it's not something I'd be sad to drink, either. Maybe a top-25 DIPA for me, but maybe not. Good citrus/pineapple, light bitterness, plenty of malt sweetness, low-moderate carb, and a moderate hit of booziness. It sort of reminded me of TRIPA, except instead of rice/sake it tasted a bit more like a cleaning product in the way that DIPAs sometimes do. I mean that only in the acceptable way, as it wasn't entirely offputting, but also wasn't making me guzzle it down. The malt sweetness was nice and not cloying.

 

I got @treshojas covered for a fresh batch if he wants to try it again.. I'm gonna get some cans this week of new offerings, and slam some folks. I'm expecting a 400-500 dolla UPS bill for the month of april.

Good to hear the new batch of TMoS is back to full power. It's unreal for a DIPA when fresh, and right.

Also, this Fort Point is always on.....ahem....point. I can't imagine a dry hopped version. This stuff is awwsome.

 

Your right.. Koko Buni... I drank about 3- 32oz growlers of it about a month or two ago.. Man it was tasty as heck. I'd stock up on cans of it!

Good review of it.. I find it too boozy sometimes, but I'm not a mega fan of DIPAs sometimes. However, TmoS on draft, and last year was amazingly good. Sounds like batch 2 is dialed back in from the issues they had with grain and mashing too long.

I'm gonna drink up what I have left, pull the older cans from the boxes packed and get a new case this Thurs or Friday to send out with some other new stuff.
