So the guys wife dropped the VR she was suppose to ship and it was his last one. He is gonna send my box back and pay for shipping costs. I'm whole again so whatever. Today he was looking at trades that were ISO prop and vanilla rye. Kinda wierd since he doesn't have a VR to trade but you can look. I'm going to drop it and let it go. I'll start drinking each bottle I get with a vanilla bean in it when I get them back.

I think one thing is oddly funny about this. I gave up beer trading for lent and posted this iso ft offer and on good Friday it fell apart after I had shipped. Hmm. No big deal. I'll be putting up more posts tomorrow and trying to land some beers I don't have access to. If I can't work anything out then I still have awesome beer I can pick up at the local beer store! Gotta stop being so greedy.

 

I have a whole pound of fresh vanilla beans if you need some... I think I might crack my last BCBS and put a bean in there and then put it in the fridge for a while...

Let it go though... If I had ever seen a Vanilla Rye, I'd send it to ya if I hadn't drank it by now.. Look on the bright side.. you've had it before!

Oh yeah if I get my box and shipping costs back I'm fine. Disappointed but whole again so I'm not gonna be a dick.

Put the bcbs in the fridge, get it nice n cold, open it, slice the bean down the middle and put it in and let it sit on the shelf for 45 mins! You will love it!

I shoulda had my mother in law pick up vanilla beans when she was in Amish country this week. Damn hind sight!

Todays final round of the Shell Open is being played. If a first time winner gets it, then they have an invite to Augusta for the seasons first ( and best ) Major.

Here's the deal.. this is a Masters LIF.. it'll be annual for me.

Pick 2 golfers from the current invite list.

These are you two golfers for the event. Even if one, or both, miss the cut, you can't pick anyone else.

Winners will be decided by TOTAL EARNINGS from the event.

You can have a guy miss the cut, and pick the winner, and probably come out on top. The money earnings will be posted shortly after the end of the event.

Please quote me, but also, if someone here could assist me in keeping tracking of the picks, I'd REALLY appreciate it.

I will be offering up WTFIW, mostly great Southern Goodies with a Masters theme if I can.

Edit to add: Tiebreaker in the event someone/somehow turns into a tie- guess how many golf balls will accumulate in my backyard this week. I will clean it up and clear it out this afternoon, and will not touch them until Sunday afternoon/evening. It's fenced, so you aint getting your shit back easily.

Since my wife is working all day today, and I have the kids, and didn't go to church.. I decided to drink early, especially since my neighbor couldn't see me taking pics of beer outside, since he's giving several sermons today!

Here's the outlook of my day via pics:



Found me a bottle- and decided why not fresh. Got some smoke coming out of the egg this morning/afternoon.



These are getting a healthy dose of smoke via a bourbon barrel and some maple, and will for quite a while today.

Currently doing this...

After a nap, out to do some chipping and pitching out on the course or backyard while the kids nap, and hone my short game a bit for next weeks business outing. Maybe even clean them for once.
