Alright first off I apologize and want to say that specific to @jdhowe more than anyone for slacking on the pron. I was invited to a spur of the moment tasting last night that I couldn't turn down which I'll show you why hehe  anyways without further ado...here we go. It started out with this "scud missile" as @Mipper would say from an unknown assailant, although I have an idea who it could be lol... This was the BVDL of peanut butter beers for me so thank you for whoever you are that helped Eric make this happen. Oh and I actually drank the IPAs :grimacing:

Then for no damn reason at all and a complete surprise @jdhowe decides to bomb me with this amazing set of new treats, wants and a dear old friend mr. French toast :stuck_out_tongue: The red angel was a complete mind blow?!? I have almost caught up on most f the boxes I needed to get out minus a few key that are almost ready and you go and do this and make my list that much bigger haha  thank you so much!!!!!!!!

This was from out side the thread that was a pick it for me for the carton GORP and the rest came with. The pineapple IPA was the surprise super star... I said it, an IPA that was the winner... Whoa!?!

This came from a quick swap around for the kiwi Herman the other day, quick and painless trades are always nice...

This next one came from my friend Andre, we send blind boxes back and forth and this is what he sent this time. Really stoked to try the sherry barrel marshal zhucov  the crowler was a blend of three imperial stouts I believe. It wasn't mind blowing but interesting none the less. And the last two beers are just in the pic, obviously not duplicates haha...

And I was trying to get a group shot of all the things I had gotten this week together including some other I person stuff but as you can see I drank some, more came in and I couldn't get a group pic but a couple more local pick ups and swaps including the cycle Friday from a friend here which was really cool!

Back to more that came in yesterday and what I picked up at a tasting that I didn't drink. First Friday night my friend Aaron drove down and I got an old favorite the s'more stout from him x 2 and he also have me some degarde which were consumed that night and there is no evidence they existed, sorry... He also tossed ina veritas 15 and I picked up an hommage in a trade.

Last box finally arrived at almost 7:00 pm which is really late here for fedex and I'm really happy it all arrived in one piece. I had been waiting on dragontrax and to see it finally here safe was great

This was Friday nights tasting, focus was modern times and the new monsters park. Good times for sure.

This was the surprise tasting last night where someone opened up an 11' framboos that might be one of the best sours I have ever had... Blown away, CFH 14' was great as well as Lente...

Now I'm getting some rest and getting ready for an overnight inventory shift. Sorry for the delay lol...

We had all of the TRVE bottle beer sans its first ever bottled beer. Crimson Death was quiet good as was Manannan. Darkness 2014 is always delicious

There was a few bottles that were good don't get me wrong but wasn't my usual crew. I brought BA 17 which was a first for me, that was like drinking thin mints. Point is, you probably had more fun haha...

Drink the Tropicalia and the Didjits soon. Didjits is the oldest of the IPAs so I"d kill that soon. It's tasty.

The rest can age away gracefully. The Trail Magic has a year on it already, pretty tasty beer, brewery only, but some muled out and sold in Asheville.

The Unobtanium is a big old ale aged in bourbon barrels, but doesn't mention anything about a barrel on the label. It's tasty as hell, and I'm not a huge old ale fan. I need to hunt more down, but it's pretty limited to a seasonal or whenever the barrels say to empty it.

Blushing Monk, I thought you had asked for incase you didn't find any.. Maybe my mind went.

Yeah, forgot to include that info in the box.

I'll have some freshie Gose on the way shortly, waiting on the local place to get his stuff, and set me back my initial case.

    Enjoy it!

Wheew.. I think I'm caught up..

bombed @PA-Michigander , @bcm75 and @Dave_Treat this past week, hit the road early on Friday morning, and made my way to Augusta, GA for the Masters.

Got to play Sage Valley GC in South Carolina, for those that follow or know golf.. It's about as close topography, design, and service wise, as it'll get to Augusta National. Mega exclusive join, no cart paths, no carts, caddies in white, shoe shining, and no wimmin' allowed in the mens grill.

Got to play 4 holes of golf with Sean O'Hair, who didn't make the Masters this year, really nice guy, great player. Wasn't aware I was going to play with him, until I was in lala land, and was putting on the practice green, and ended up sorting out my balls from the same hole he was hitting to as well. Pretty dang cool.

Finished out round, made our way to our house for the weekend, cleaned up, had a dinner/business get-together, and retired for the night.

Spent the day at The Masters Sat- drank a bunch of stella, and a couple crafts thanks to our badges being allowed to enter to Berckmans Place, an exclusive enclave in the corner of ANGC where I could putt on replica greens of the course, with the same speed and hole locations the players were hitting to that day.. Pretty swanky place, a million levels above my paygrade though, so somwhat awkward at times.

Only bad thing, was no phone for literally two days. No phones allowed on the course, and none at the Masters.. Some of the most beautiful scenery, wish I had some of Sage Valley.

Anyways.. back and at the house today.. dressed up in my masters polo's along with my little guys, and enjoying the start of the rounds, and enjoying a couple beers after getting my yard word done!

Best weekend of the year, and each year I head to the Masters, is more memories in the bank.

Started with the obligitory.. Georgia made DIPA. Fresh as heck, green label, green Masters cup from the course, and the badge to remember it!

Moved to this while I settle in.. about to get my boys up to watch!!

Those with regular ability to get Epic BBB are lucky as fuck. This is delicious!!

    Cheers fellas

So I was trying to keep this a secret, but I can't do it any longer. I have been reading from page one and refusing to "like" any posts so that you guys wouldn't know what I was doing. But after 240 pages, I am changing my mind. So get ready for a likestorm. I'll try to refrain from quoting. Sidenote; it's been pretty harsh and I am keeping a scoreboard using my own rubric. When I catch up to my comeback, I will post the standings and send out a box to the person who appears to have had the most fun at my expense during my absence. Through 240 pages, my totally arbitrary scorecard has a tie at the top of the leaderboard between @CTJman and @zekeman17.
Anyway, the likestorm is coming. And maybe a few quotes. But most of all, I want to thank each of you for allowing me to return. I look forward to fucking up every one of your porches eventually.

FINALLY after a 15-month hiatus, I'm brewing today. A super hoppy APA with Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops. A small 1.5gal batch just to get back into the swing of things, but while the wife is on maternity leave I expect to do quite a few batches. Just finished steeping my specialty grains and am getting up to a boil to add the malt extract (sorry, I don't do all-grain :flushed:).

Oh... Unobtanium is BA? News to me. Looks like I'll buy one or three next time I go to my local shop. Let me know if you need any... pretty sure it's hanging around here.

Wow... this post wins. Please share some highlights as you go back through!

My local place just started getting it, so I think I should be able to hunt some down.

It is indeed barrel aged.. 6 months in bourbon barrels for Unobtanium and Illudium is in cognac barrels. I have yet to try the cognac version.
