That yellow splotch in the center of the map looks glorious. So looking forward to their expansion. They make some fantastic shelf beers not to mention all the limited ones.

Man, those guys have seriously stepped it up since I was there in May 2011. They weren't east of CO then and hit ~10 states. The number of people I can send their delicious beers to is rapidly decreasing... I guess I'll have to actually drink my Abyss now. Or send it to @ThreeFishes.

Looks like New Jersey won't see any. I'll have to work some trades for it still

Bourbon soaked oak cubes have been added to fermenter with the rest of the POOP. I saved two bottles worth of POOP to taste test in two weeks. Aging my POOP with the cubes will take approximately two weeks and then I'll have BA POOP. From what I've read, the BA POOP doesn't mellow out for a couple of months but is still pretty good fresh. I'll give my BA POOP a quick taste test during bottling to determine what to do with it. If the little bit of BA POOP that goes in my mouth passes the test, I'll be sending out a few bottles to some folks in this thread. Due to the limited amount of bottles I'll have and since I'll sending two per person, one to sit on and one to drink, I'll make this a random lottery type draw. More details to come once I determine if my POOP tastes good.

    I just sharted.

Man, so they're looking to build a brewery out east as well? As long as the quality doesn't suffer, it makes a lot of sense in the long term...save so much on distro.

Pumped for this - I wish they were bringing Obsidian into the market in the initial expansion, but I'll settle for doing a side by side with fresh Black Butte and Edmund Fitzgerald. My heart tells me that Eddie Fitz is better, but I've never had the two side by side...

Until they hit MA, I nominate myself to receive all past, present, and future Deschutes love. Abyss is hard to beat in the category and I'm pretty sure I would replace water with Mirror Pond...and that's an understatement.

I've got a little pr0n to show off from @pimpinmidget.
I'm beginning to wonder if he knows the difference between a simple trade and a BIF?
Pics when I get home tonight.
Oh, and thanks to FedEx for delivering them already cold.

Is it weird that I think the redhead on the January IPA is HOT? I know she's just a cartoon drawing, but the way she's straddling that sled...

Man, I might not have been with you on this one before tonight... but right about now... I'm with you.

Hosted a quad tasting tonight... here's some **** with the results:

All mid-late 2012 bottles. St Bernardus Christmas Ale was the dark horse victor. My personal rankings were:
    1. St. Bernardus Christmas
    2. Westy XII
    3. St. Bernardus Abt. 12
    4. La Trappe Quad
    5. Trappistes Rochefort 10

With an added De Struise Pannepot Old Fisherman's Ale coming in at 3.5 (it arrived late to the party, but thanks to @magictacosinus for bringing it)

A huge thanks to @MMBrew and @ThreeFishes for facilitating #properbeerinproperglassware for an early birthday celebration
