I can't speak for houser or others who have made similar inadequacy-related comments, but I know when I said it, a) I was mostly joking, and b) in my case it wasn't that I can't afford better bottles, but that I didn't put enough thought into it ahead of time and copped out on one or two of the bottles in the box, I would have preferred to have had 4 killer bottles but instead had 2, plus one that luckily was a want but really is a cop out anyway, and one that was just taking up sapce; so I'm disappointed in myself for having not done better. I do hope the glassware makes up for it though (and it sounds like it did )

I agree with @emottram on this one, watching people pick only a few among a large assortment ("oh, he left that behind? and x is missing, I guess he took that") and getting to eventually do the same, is one thing I've liked about BiaB, personally. Perhaps do 3 or 4 mystery bottles and take 6 from 8 or 9 uncovered bottles, that way there's still some choosing involved? Also, was there supposed to be something after "(unless" in the line about shipping out-of-state?

edit: also, feel free to completely disregard my comments since I'm by no means an OG.

I'm not too sleep deprived, I just slept in and came in to work late. I'm hoping my office is dismissed at 2 and I can go be in the front of the line, if not I'll swing by at 4 and if the line isn't too bad I'll get some bottles. If there's a huge line I won't have time; the wife was not thrilled with the idea of me coming back from being away 3 days just to go do more beer stuff...

Including you @Houser, (unless I missed someone) there have been 4 requests for bottles of this release in the thread (and one from outside it requested of me) so if I can get 6 bottles, I can fill all requests. @zekeman17 offered to help as well provided he gets any, so if you guys are lucky we both will and between the two of us we'll hook you all up. I may also have a friend with me who could mule, so if anyone in here that has asked for this would like 2 bottles, let me know in the next couple hours, but I don't plan on buying more than 6 just in case someone wants them.

 

I can grab my max allotment as well and I'm only keeping 2 bottles. BM me if not taken care of and interested.

Ok, apparently my statement about send what you can was taken out and misunderstood. I'm not singling anyone out nor placing blame. Just trying to say SWTFYW. It's better to give than to receive. That is all

As far as BiaB 2 goes, I'm open to suggestion. What I was trying to do was still provide some type of mystery to the whole thing as we're upping amount taken from 6 to 10. With only 2 bottles remaining, there's not much mystery left. Hence the reason to cover up some. Perhaps we just take 10 total, regardless of whether they are covered or not. For those wondering why we went with a higher total, it was to offset the cost of shipping such a giant box. Didn't make sense to spend close to $40 and only get 6 bottles plus some extras. So we upped it to 10 to get a bit more value.

Again, I'm open to suggestion to try to maximize mystery of the 12 bottles. This ain't no dick-tatorship
